We had such an awesome experience at chanakya bnr puri with family. It is a heritage hotel and the ambience of the place is just simply awesome. It feels like a colonial mansion. The rooms are large and spacious with all modern amenities. There is a well kept garden and pool. The restaurant is very good and serves very good food, although a bit slow. The breakfast spread is also good. The only thing about the hotel is that it is not beachfront, but it is a peaceful location and that is equally good. The private golden beach is 5 minutes away. Overall excellent stay and will definitely stay here anytime i come to puri.

My wife and i stayed at the chanakya bnr hotel for two nights. Here's how our experience was: pros: room size: the room was spacious and the ceiling height was quite impressive. Location: conveniently located, we enjoyed having a ground floor room. Staff: the staff were friendly, though there's room for improvement in professionalism. Cons: cleanliness: for a premium hotel, the cleanliness was below expectations. The presence of mosquitoes was particularly bothersome. Breakfast: the selection at breakfast could have been more varied and appealing. Amenities: the choice of toiletries was limited, and the towels seemed outdated. Maintenance: several electrical sockets were broken, which was inconvenient. Overall management: as a heritage property, it feels like it has not kept up with modern standards of hospitality. The management could do more to elevate the guest experience. Conclusion: while the hotel has the potential due to its historical charm and location, our stay was just "so-so" better management and attention to detail could significantly enhance the experience. If you're looking for a stay with a touch of history, this might work, but don't expect the amenities or upkeep of a modern luxury hotel. Would recommend with reservations.

Rooms are spacious. There is no safe deposit locker in room. Staff are helpful, courteous always. Beach was a bit far. Better to take a toto or auto. Breakfast was good.

I really had a comfortable stay with my family. I traveled with my kid who is a specially able child. He is on ketodiet. The chef of the restaurant use to prepare his food as per the diet plan. House keeping, room service and reception staff were very co operative. I must recommend people to stay at chankya bnr. Thank you so much to the team make my trip. Room maintenance especially plumbing was not very good. Wooden stairs need polishing. Buffet menu for dinner was mediocre. Past practice of english breakfast is thoroughly missed.

The hotel was strictly okay. Did not live upto the name of heritage hotel. While the room size are big bit the hotel lacks a bit of hygiene. Bathroom has some leakage, geyser switch wasn’t functioning till we asked it to be repaired. The housekeeping needs to pull up their socks as next day tea coffee refill wasn’t done.
