    Don't expect 3 star facilities.

    House boats provide decent amenities, but don't expect 3 star facilities there. Reccommended if you want a one time experience in living in a houseboat, otherwise not.
    Houseboats like that in Dal lake cannot be considered as a 3 star property. Doors does not have proper locks. No facility to lock room from outside when we go outside. Walls are thin and we can hear what the guests in other room speaks. However if the people running these boats are poor people, I'd recommend to others.
