It’s a centrally located hotel and that’s all i can say that’s positive. We booked two rooms. One had to be changed immediately since the a/c wasn’t working. In the other room, the a/c stopped working around 2 am leading to disturbed sleep. Food is average at best. Service is spotty. Everything including the staff looks and is dated. We will not be booking here in the future.

wonderful stay. nice hotel . staff are very friendly and helpful. room amenities are very good and neat and clean. food taste was very good. good spread of breakfast buffet. overall service was excellent. hotel is located at prime location and very spacious 👏👍

The hotel was a delight, the check-in experience was so smooth the receptionist was so kind and helpful and not just him, every employee was so kind and helpful the cleanness was impeccable. 5 star all around ! highly recommend.

I am an usual traveller to this hotel, by choice. Though is is maitained by ktdc, the heritage of 100 years of this hotel is very good. Specious rooms & bathrooms, prime location and food is very best. I love to stay here every-time when i am in thiruvananthapuram.

Average experience. The booking process and confirmation was clean. The room's ac was mediocre though the room service person changed switches. The lighting inside the room lacked vibe and was bit on the fuller side. Premises were neatly maintained. Friendly staffs. Food was average, some were good some not to the mark. Accessibility of the location was very convenient in the city.

Despite the legacy and the city centre location, property was poorly maintained. Rooms smelled like cigarettes, washrooms were old and the restaurant food was below average

Good property and location but poor as a business/leisure hotel

Was on a short trip here and picked this hotel due to its heritage value. But it has been very disappointing experience for a business traveller. There is maintenance work all around. The rooms are spacious but badly maintained. The only good thing to say is that staff though poorly trained are responsive and willing to help. Had to shift my room as ac was not working in my room.

Hotel was nice with good ambience, centrally located. And in close vicinity to lot of market and other places. Rooms were spacious and good house keeping, comfortable beds and clean towels. Hotel should look at improving the maintenance of loose furniture in room.

The property is located at the most lucrative spot with the legislative assembly. Napier museum. Stadium. Zoo. All at close proximity(we couldn't visit cause of rains but our purpose was different for visiting the city. The reception was welcoming and helpful with lots of cheerful faces. The building has old style luxury look. Expansive garden. The outdoor cafe was nicely placed( couldn't visit as it was raining)the swimming pool was under maintenance ( due to rains. The swath i restaurant has nice ambience. The food was delicious. Room service was courteous and prompt. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable(pool view) over-all. Awesome stay

Literally a home away from home

We arrived in terrible rain and could not reach our home as our area was flooded. We were not excited to have to check into a hotel at 2. 30am after a 10 hour drive. However it turned out to be a dream stay which we finally extended by 3 days. Centrally located yet protected from the noise of the city, mascot is an underrated gem. Excellent amenities, perfectly fitted rooms, attentive service and an old world ambience which takes you back in time yet pampers you with timeless luxury.
