Well managed property. The location is 5 mins walk from papanasham beach and on the beach we can walk to south and north cliff as per choice. Hotel food is great and staff will adjust food as per your choice. Friendly and courteous staff. Mr sudeep helped plan local sight seeing and arranged transport and that’s usually the way to go in area so that hotel is responsible for managing vendors.

It was a pleasant stay at the hotel. Hotel staff was really polite and helpful. View of sea from the property was mesmerizing. Pool was very well maintained. Overall a experience to remember.

Location : excellent landscape : excellent staffs : little understaffed food : good, menu - little restricted. Desert menu to be increased room service : understaffed over all : excellent hotel landscape has lots of stairs and no lifts so elderly finds very difficult

We stayed for 2 days and the experience was incredible. Staff were so friendly and very much professional. We did a spa and felt very much relaxed and the staffs are well trained. The food served was excellent and restaurant staff ensured that we are treated well. Overall an excellent place to relax and rejuvenate.

It was great stay and view was amazing. This hotel is very strategically located and one’s can reach out anywhere in half an hour to 45 mins. I love the food and hospitality.

Due to mmt booking, we were given last corner room with smallest bathroom which smell horrible. The towels were torn. When i asked for additional bed they asked additional despite paying for 3 guest. The pool was closed early at 7pm and didn’t open before 8am. Tv was not working and above all. Ac didn’t work whole night, there was no one to respond at reception. Better choose any 2 star hotel in varkala then gateway taj.

The hotel needs big time renovation. It’s old property with old amenities but still on very expensive as compared to other 4 or 5 star hotels. They have centralized ac system which was not at all working, it felt like a hot burning stove inside the room. Food was good in taste though the breakfast buffet has very less variety. For the price you are paying for one night this was not worthy hotel. Still a good option to stay for families.

Hotel is great, largest property you can get in varkala. The pool is great and staff are helpful. If you are looking for a family vacation this is great choice.

We were welcomed by the staffs very well. They wore us a small flower garland and welcome drink which made us felt happy especially my kid. The games and pool was completely enjoyed by us. Room was spacious and well maintained. All the staffs are very professional and friendly. Good varieties of menu for complimentary breakfast with south indian and english. Overall we enjoyed our stay at gateway varkala

We found the stay useful as we went there after hectic three days tour to relax only and considering the wonderful view from room balcony there was no other need to move out.
