A peaceful retrea
Rated 5.0 by Miriya Chacko . Solo Traveller . Oct 03, 2024
The place is conveniently located next to the highway, but it's designed in such a way that you don't feel the closeness to the highway. The farm is set amid-st some lush fruit trees and the accomodation is at the back of the property. The people are warm, friendly and helpful the farm is tastefully designed and the rooms are spacious, neat and well appointed. Homely food and places nearby to get some outside food. Definitely recommend the place for a stay.

Overall good stay at sabala. Owner is good
Rated 3.0 by vasudev Deshpande . Family Traveller . Sep 13, 2024
Breakfast was super. Not suitable for 3 yr kid and parents, as it doenst have king size bed, and extra bed charged at 400 rs. Dish tv wont work. Care taker are lazy, but good natured. Late comer wont be encouraged, they close the gate @10 pm, after that call and get the gate opened

Tasty food
Rated 4.0 by Venkara Ramana Gunna . Family Traveller . Dec 11, 2019
At first, we booked a non-AC room, it wasn't clean and we didn't like it, then we shifted to an AC room that was fine. When we visited the property, there was no access as the highway was under construction, but this was an only temporary issue. Property is at a very isolated place. The served food was tasty.

Could have been more hospitable
Rated 3.0 by Vijayalaxmi Hegde . Family Traveller . Dec 09, 2019
The staff are okay, but the owner of Sabala needs to be more tourist-friendly and hospitable. The food here is very much like home-cooked food.

Spot clean, but remote
Rated 4.0 by Badrinath Waikar . Family Traveller . Dec 01, 2019
I was looking for a clean place to stay, this was the right one. No fancy facilities but bathroom was spot clean. Bit away from the City, if you don't have your vehicle then it will be difficult to commute.

Rated 4.0 by Pramod Durgule . Family Traveller . Nov 01, 2019
Hotel is at highway near Bijapur. Property is around 500 meters from road surrounded by coconut trees. One can enjoy peaceful place while stay. Since this is outside the Bijapur for meals you have informed in advance at hotel. Overall rooms are good and enjoyed outside sitting in the property.

Veg dinner, and knowing what
Rated 4.0 by Sreekumar . Group Traveller . Dec 23, 2017
Spacious rooms, location is just off the highway which is what we wanted. It's more like a home stay than a hotel. The bed could have a little bigger. The WiFi didn't work nor the Tata sky, but looked like a one of issue

Simple place with excellent food
Rated 3.0 by Harikishan Bhat . Couple Traveller . Oct 23, 2017
The hotel is located away from the city and hence is peaceful and quiet. Not advisable if you don't have your own vehicle. We booked a non AC room. The owner and manager were away on a holiday. The person present was clumsy and perhaps was not used to decision making. They allotted us a room on the ground floor. It was a small but airy and bright room. The bathroom was rather small and didn't seem that clean. The place has a garden around it and gives out a homely atmosphere. The USP of this place is the food. The food is absolutely delicious and tasty. It was homemade food. We gobbled on the simple menu of chappatis, Brinkley sabji, dry chautney, Jeera rice and Dale and a puran poli. The taste was out of the world. Ditto for the breakfast. The chef is a simple lady who serves food with a smile. They need to retain her any cost. They are known for handicrafts and they have a shop right there. We found some good stuff there. Go to this hotel for homely environment and tasty food.

Welcoming host
Rated 5.0 by Ankit Aggarwal . Oct 12, 2017
Stay at Sabala if you want a home like stay. Its not a fancy hotel but a homestay kind of setup with very friendly and welcoming hosts (mother and daughter) who are also running a social enterprise called Sabala handicrafts. We had a short comfortable stay
