No ac in the room

There was no air conditioner at the entire hotel. It was so hot and humid that without ac one can’t stay. So we moved out of hotel and booked another hotel.

I booked a single suite as i wanted a bathtub. A bathtub was pretty dirty even after getting it cleaned. Although it was a “suite”, the room was like a warehouse on the 4th floor without a lift, with a very few small lights on the ceiling and it was very difficult to read something at night. Staff even refused to wash a bathtab when i asked him to do so.

Echo friendly best hotel

We searched for a heritage hotel and kantipur came as a suggestion. Location of this hotel is excatly mid of atahamel which is a perfect place to stay. All the renewed cafes and shopping places are a minute away. Good place to stay. Food is also very good. All the staffs were polite and supportive.

The staff, hotel and the food is good. I felt like am staying in a small mahal, fully decorated in a old fashioned darbar in nepal. Food is nice, not too many items in the menu both in breakfast and dinner. But the stay is excellent. Eco friendly hotel and the staff

It was very very peaceful stay at heart of thamel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Since this hotel adopted ecofriendly policy so there was no fan or acs. Highly recommended for people who likes peaceful stay.

Worth every penny. Must stay when in Nepal. Very good hotel. Must stay if in Nepal.
This is an excellent place for budget stay in Kathmandu, the only issue I experienced was driving through the bylanes to reach the place. However if you are not self-driving, not much fault can be found. The lights in the room are dim which may not be a liking to all, also they have no fans but provide table fans on request - this is completely acceptable in a place like Kathmandu. The property in itself is beautiful and gives a pristine relaxing feeling.

A heart warming stay

Kantipur Temple House is located in the heart of Kathmandu- Thamel. All major attractions, restaurants, pubs, shopping and the airport are easily accessible, most on foot. The hotel is unfriendly and very beautifully done up. The heritage building is calm and serene and the rooms warm and welcoming and extremely clean. Would definitely recommend you stay here to make the most of your time in Kathmandu!

Enjoyed the architectural beauty of the hotel structure, rooms and its surroundings, hospitality of the staffs, food preparation and presentation. Appreciate the Eco friendly measures taken by this hotel to reduce power and water wastage and to avoid plastic garbage.
