Great six night stay at this small hotel.
Most the building was finished as polished concrete, and very clean.
Situated a few hundred metres from the main street, with many restaurants, cafes and shops to chose from.
Scooter hire available from across the street (Big Jump)
Small van selling beer and drinks on site, but no actual cafe.
Staff were great and v helpful.
Highly recommend, nice rooms, great location and friendly staff.

I like the location because there a small strip mall up the block with different food options; a popular pho place and very unrated ramen restaurant. There is a cat cafe across the street and a nice Buddhist temple on the same block. The hotel rooms are spacious and they have a nice decor. I wish that a breakfast option was offered but there are food option nearby. Don't ask the hotel to book a cab for you because I suspect they pad the bill in their favor, which is my only real complaint.
Great stay. Modern Loft style. A little short on closet and clothes storage space. Clean. Environmentally conscious. Friendly helpful staff.
We were pleasantly surprised by this little boutique hotel. It is located in a quiet alleyway in the heart of the old town, surrounded by many cafes, restaurants and temples.
The hotel is tastefully decorated. The pool was just big enough for us and we enjoyed having a couple of beers in the courtyard.
The staff was very nice, helpful and spoke pretty good english. We would definitely recommend Taphae Loft and would stay again.
Nice property and very nice staff.
There is a construction going on in front, but that is not the fault of the property.
patrick.partnerNov 17, 2024 The hotel itself is nice, but as a previous reviewer noted over six months ago, there is a strong unpleasant smell from the drains in the ground floor (room 103). It was quite unbearable at times. The industrial chic of the room is pretty cool until you are kept awake by the dripping sounds from the plethora of pipes. The "hot" water was lukewarm at the best of times. A lot of room for improvement. The staff are all lovely.

Very friendly staff, nice welcoming check in (felt very special for our anniversary), comfortable bed, good A/C. Cool pool area, cute little bar/patio area where you could buy beer, and felt safe at night with a security guard at the entrance. Walking distance less than 10 minutes to convenience stores and restaurants. Even a departure gift upon checkout. We loved it. They deserve a higher rating!!!
Front desk Staff was great. Wifi was not great. Unsecure connection and when connected it was still unreliable for me.
Construction directly outside the window. AC unit was a bit wonky.
On checkout day I had a towel that was used to clean thai tea in my room and as i’m checking out one of the workers brings the towel out to show to the front desk almost as if to make a scene. That was unprofessional and lost my extended stay in chiang mai. Just ended up at a hotel a few blocks from there because of the internet and this incident.
There were a couple of staff members that were nice but one or two that weren’t particularly helpful. They were doing construction next-door and it will be going on for a long time. It was noisy all day. Walls were not very thick and I could hear the next door neighbor’s TV on all night. Also, the hot water never got hot. It was just mildly warm.
This place was perfect. Clean, serene, staff incredibly helpful and sweet. Even after we checked out they kept our bags and allowed us to come back 3 hours and swim/relax before heading to the airport

Total hidden gem. Secluded and in the heart of it all this place had all the trimmings. Woukdnt stay anywhere else when i come back
