The property is good. Rooms are nice and clean. They nice gym. I did not try food of the hotel. They have stopped giving plastic articles which is good. Every floor has water dispenser which is nice.

The room was decent. The staff was rude specifically a girl at the reception who had no decent how to talk to a paid guest. We had an incident where they funnily delivered a broken microwave to my room when we had asked them to warm food for my 5 year old. Then they sent me pics telling me that we had broken it. So in all not a very pleasant stay and a very bad after taste. Not recommended

Positives:
* Very helpful staff, one of the female staffs helped us with using her own octopus card for vending machine during the midnight on 31st December when we had just cash.
* Shuttle service is very helpful both for MTR and Causeway.
* Accessible location. Negatives:
* Just one negative that all Superior rooms are facing the cemetery which was a surprise for us and made us feel a bit uncomfortable.
* Very less lighting within the room.

A wallet-friendly premium experience

Had a hassle-free experience here at dorset wanchai. All of the staffs were helpful and approachable and even offered complimentary early check-in which was commendable. There was no language barrier and everyone spoke english. All of the basic amenities were of very good quality and maintained regularly. The central station/ifc mall is only a few minutes away by cab or you can use the hotel shuttle to reach there, which was also punctual. There are a limited number of restaurants out of which one used to be one michelin star rated. There's also a vending machine inside the hotel to grab a few snacks. The gym room was also adequately equipped and maintained well. Albeit a few minor inconveniences were there nevertheless - the front desk, internet helpline and room service were not reachable through the room's landline. The central is quoted to be 8 minutes away by walk which is misleading. It is at-least 10-20 minutes even in a cab. But given the hotel's location, transportation isn't really an issue. Overall the experience was great and i would recommend it.

Dorset wanchai is very centrally located rooms are comfortable. In room dining has limited options and breaffast buffet is expensive unless included in package.

First trip everyone scared me that room sizes are small etc but Dorset is made very nicely u won't feel it's small it's cozy and everything was walking distance

Hotel near a Gurudwara in Hong Kong

This hotel is difficult to find on Google location but very near to Sikh Temple called Gurudwara and good Indian restaurants at walkable distance. I also like Indian restaurant Alladin Mess which is just 10 minutes from the hotel. You have free shuttle bus to airport express MTR. My overall stay was good.

The hotel ambiance is overdone. The colors on the walls give a sense of a dark feeling. Breakfast was too Asian. Spread was pretty average. Rooms were a total disappointment. They can't house 4 and the hotel must not do sale of these. Fit only for 2 guests. I would give them a miss next time.
