The stay was comfortable. The Hotel Northfield is located at the exactly center of Thamel. The food is delicious and decently priced. Staff was courteous.
I had read some bad reviews but the Hotel Northfield is actually well maintained. Located at the exact center of Thamel. The rooms was clear with modern door and big windows from which natural light was coming in. The restaurants had great Indian food and inexpensive. I would recommend this Hotel Northfield for a nice stay.

The Hotel Northfield is situated conveniently in Thamel, the tourist district of Kathmandu. Durban square is 15 minutes walk through the narrow shopping streets of old city. A large number of restaurants serving a variety of foods are in the vicinity. The Hotel is value for money.
