Charming cozy getaway nestled in the Swiss Alps
Charming hotel in the Swiss alps, perfect for an overnight stay during a motorcycle trip through the region. The rooms were clean, bed comfortable, bathroom and shower good. The restaurant was also great. We ate dinner and breakfast there and the food was excellent for both meals.
Staff were welcoming and very friendly at every encounter, from check in through check out, really excellent customer service, it was greatly appreciated after a long day riding.
Just be aware there isn't much out that direction in the way of any shops, other dining options, or things to see but it wasn't a concern or factor in my trip specifically. This would be an excellent cozy getaway with your partner.
Little Swiss star in the mountain
We Booked a one night stay before our Sunday ski trip. One person checked in before the other one with no problem. Our room were nice and as expected (Swiss style). The staff was very friendly and everything was very nice and tidy. They were also following the COVID-19 rules and made it easy to understand and follow.
Great ski hotel in Klosters Dorf
Lovely hotel within walking distance of Klosters Dorf rail station and also the gondola to Madrisa ski area. Great food, helpful staff and welcoming atmosphere. Indoor pool , sauna and games room available in basement. Hotel shuttle bus will collect you from rail station if you let them know - v handy to get cases to hotel when it’s snowy! Will also take you to Klosters ski lifts. AND you get pass for all trains/buses in Klosters/Davis area so getting about is very easy. Would return.

Both in the middle of the village, as “Dorf” suggests, with wandering goats and cow farm across the street, which adds to the charm, and also a short walk away from Madrisabahn cable car to go to a family-friendly Madrisa resort with plenty of ski schools for kids of all ages and abilities, but also some slopes for adults to ski.
Being a relatively small property hotel has a very cosy feel to it. Staff was fantastic, they truly make you feel like home.

There was nothing to dislike or complain about.

Thank you for a wonderful stay, for allowing me to check in so late, for the beautiful hand-carved solid wood furniture in the room, the luxurious down duvet and pillows, the full-sise bath and spacious patio, the delicious breakfast with freshly baked croissants, sparking wine and fair-trade sugar for the coffee. Most of all, thank you for all your kindness.
A short new year trip, great service and a good location.
Very nice hotel, nice room, great breakfasts, friendly staff. A nice feature is the (free) Guest Card with which all cableways in Davos Klosters are free (summer only), as well as all local buses and railroad to and from Davos.
Great location for skiing
The hotel was perfect for my long weekend. The staff was very helpful with making sure I had all the information for ski rentals, maps of the ski resorts, transportation etc. I loved the health club with the steam and sauna with the pool after skiing. The views from the room were unbelievable. The breakfast had everything you would want and more. The waitress asked how I liked it and I mentioned about the breads tasted like you just baked them. She replied we did :0). I would highly recommend the Sunstar. I was in Germany for a business trip and took the train. The hotel had a pickup waiting. FYI it is less than a 5 minute walk also from the station.
Quick gateway in the mountains.
Short 3 nights break, hotel was very nice, surrounded by nature and stunning views. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The low points are the Wifi was very slow and the bedroom had 2 single size beds.
Excellent staff; facilities need major renovation
The pros: the staff are excellent. From the front desk to the waitstaff in the restaurants, we were incredibly welcomed and well served. The shuttle driver is incredibly helpful and on time, every time.
The food at both breakfast and dinner were really surprisingly good.
The hotel itself is very dated. The bar is smoking; really? Smoking? And the bathroom was super old and dumpy.
All in all a good value. Excellent staff, and excellent location. But not someplace I would dream about returning to.
Can recomend the hotel as good value for money compared to other hotels I have stayed in in Klosters (I visit often). Quiet, nice terrace, very nice breakfast, large room, unexpected extras in package (free soft drinks, sun cream that I had forgotten). Slightly negative is the location on the edge of Klosters but there is a short walk(but up hill)to busstop and then with free buss you are quickly in centre. The bathroom is a nice size but a little bit dated.
Location is fine but out of town
Locations is not in Klosters town centre, dont make the mistake I did and get off at the wrong train station!! entirely my fault as when the train stops at Kloster Dorf station you have to get off onto the train tracks and not a platform. Couldnt praise the staff enough, very helpful and pleasant. Food was excellent, close to a fine dining experience, really good.
Wonderful stay. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
