Gateway Hotel

The Gateway Hotel was a property located in an area which was very close(walking distance) to meena bazaar. There were restaurants nearby, metro stations of al ghubaiba and sharif dg and the bus station of al ghubaiba very nearby. So accessibility wise it was very good. The Gateway Hotel staff was also very warm and polite, and adjusting to our needs. They used to recommend us different things about our travels and places to visit. We had booked a room for 3, and the room was very spacious and clean. All amenities were good. Bathrooms were clean. The only point we felt was that the property seemed like a maze, reaching to the room seemed very far off from the lift area with a lot of turns. Also, don't expect any decent views from the windows. As you will find the narrow streets and other buildings only. So the location was not the best in terms of beauty but it was accessible so you can book according to your priorities. Overall, i would rate it as a good stay.

The Hotel is located exactly in the market and is throw away distance to Meena Bazaar and in the centre of bur Dubai. Its located just 5 minutes difference to Abra (water taxi stations) from where you can get in boat for 1AED and go to Deira (where Gold Souk and Spice Souk is located) which becomes very reasonable for a traveller to stay in Dubai. All indian restaurants, the shopping hub of Meena Bazar, Bus for Global Village, etc everything is within 5 minutes of distance. All other 3-4 star Gateway Hotels are also located in same vicinity so its becomes easier for travel agents to have your pick ups for sight seeing. The rooms, buffet spread is all value for money with very co-operative and helpful staff. Good Hotel with all amenities in it - swimming pool, spa, restaurants and all value for money and clean and tidy. Rooms are clean with all requirements fulfilled, however could have been bit bigger in space.

Located close to Meena Bazaar which is a perfect place for economic shopping, The Gateway Hotel is definitely value for money and can work on a few things to make the overall experience better. Do not advertise "Free Airport Shuttle" when all you provide is airport drop only in a bus at your convenient times. Re-phrase this service to something more appropriate to ensure there are no false expectations. Also work on improving the travel desk, the person at the desk was least interested in explaining the tour options. Apart from these improvements the Gateway Hotel is extremely well-maintained with clean and spacious rooms, Free Wi-Fi, courteous staff, decent food and a very nice pool at the terrace. I would definitely like to stay at the Gateway Hotel on my next visit to Dubai!!

Gateway Gateway Hotel is located at a convenient location in Bur Dubai and has several Indian veg restaurants near by. The interconnecting rooms we took were clean and well maintained. The beds were soft and cozy. The breakfast spread is very good with a mix of continental and and an, though not much and an choices are available. Check-in was quick and staff and very friendly and helpful. Overall an excellent and satisfactory choice.

Visited this Gateway Hotel for the first time. Over all good. Yes when compared to your helpdesk which is not helpful. And I also felt that reception was till rude. But Sardarji was very helpful. Because I had booked room for 3 but Hussain did not agree and gave us one small room. But Sardarji went and checked and got our room changed. Breakfast was very good. Room service was good. And location is near for shopping and Dubai Airport also.

Over all good experience, however initial it was disappointment, due to room has been allocated wrongly to us, I have booked 3 rooms deluxe, but they gave us small room, next day when I asked to reception, they said sorry, and gave 3 bed rooms. This is really unexpected otherwise all others is very good. Break fast very nice, location wise very good. Meena is very near service needs to be improve.

For us it was a budget Hotel for 7 nights with a very good location for the places we wanted to visit in Dubai. Clean and comfortable rooms. As well Included Breakfast also very good and delicious. The staff consists of very nice, smiling, and helpful people. Really good value for money. I will recommend it to friends. If I come back to Dubai, I would stay in this Gateway Hotel again.

The Gateway Hotel is located conveniently near the metro. Souqs of old dubai and deira, and the al fahidi neighbourhood are within 10-15 minutes walking distance. Our room was clean and well-maintained. The complimentary breakfast was quite good too. The staff were courteous, especially considering that there was quite a rush of guests when we visited. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Gateway Gateway Hotel Dubai is located just in the middle of the electronic market in Meena bazaar. You get lot of stuff around in walking distance. City centre mall which houses carefourr is also at walking distance. Two metro stations are at walking distance. It's a veggies heaven since many options for veg restaurants around. The Gateway Hotel breakfast is up to the mark

We have 2 rooms fro 6 days in this Gateway Hotel, and we feel its Best Budget Hotel I have stayed in Dubai, And Location wise it is in heart of market area, and Local restaurants and all sight sene is nearby to this Gateway Hotel, gold souk market is just walking distance from there, (Via Abra) As well Included Breakfast also very Good .. Value for Money

This Gateway Hotel is very good for a budget trip. Amazing location. Meena Bazar, AL fahidi metro, AL ghubaiba bus and ferry stations are 5-10 mins walk away . Service is good. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is OK. But you get all the options in breakfast. Asian, European etc. Overall a good Gateway Hotel if you are on a budget trip to Dubai .

We stayed for 8 days. The staff were polite and cooperative. House keeping was very good. The food at horizon restaurant was very good and there were south Indian items like umpa, vada, oothappam in breakfast. Within 5 minutes walk restaurants, shops, currency exchange, bus stops were available. We could get taxi within 5 minutes.

Food is good. Hotel location is also very good. There is some problem with out Side parking but there is a underground parking too. But over it is wonderful experience in this Hotel

It was ok, not highly good. The staff of the Hotel was helping, housekeeping was good. We were not served breakfast packed as instructed. It caused a lot of inconvenience to us.

Location is good. All restaurants and shops is on walking distance from Gateway Hotel location. I bought Mobile phones from electronic maket on very reasonable price. If you travel for fun, you can stay here ..

Very nice Gateway Hotel must visit currently staying in city max bur dubai early 4 days stays was at gateway and it's been totally worth loved the Gateway Hotel gateway and don't ever go with city max Gateway Hotel bur dubai

It was good when I saw the Gateway Hotel, I was like Yes first time I've invested perfectly on the Gateway Hotel. City is also fabulous I so don't wait just book ticket and go there and yes one more thing is gateway Gateway Hotel is worth to stay so don't over think about it and booked it.

Front table service is very good. Complimentary breakfast is also very good. Arrangements are excellent. Total service upkeep and environment is wicketkeeping a lense mirror is superb. Tooth brush may be kept.

Good complimentary breakfast and lots of options for food around the Gateway Hotel. The pool timings are very odd but the other facilities were good. The rooms were spacious and clean. The reception was very helpful.

It was a very good stay, value for money. Rooms were very spacious and neat and clean. From outside it may not look big but once you are inside the Gateway Hotel, the property is big. Good part is the staff is very good and cooperative.

Is walk-able distance from meena bazaar. Good for indians as pure vegetarian restaurants are walk-able distance from the Gateway Hotel. Also 1 km far away from al fahidi metro station.

Hotel is close to dubai airport, restaurants are close by (walkable) good hygiene maintained by the Gateway Hotel, staff is helpful.

Room is very comfortable. Bathroom is clean. Very co-operative staff. Gym area is also very nice. But swimming pool not working when i stayed.
