Lost Booking

I booked this hotel for a 4 night stay for me and two work colleagues. Upon arrival on Sunday afternoon, 6th August 2023, the lady at reception said that she had no record whatsoever of our bookings and said that we couldn’t stay as the hotel was fully booked. When I showed her the paperwork from Hotels.com confirming the booking she was unmoved and refused to honour our booking. No apology although she did telephone a local guest house and they accommodated us for our 4 night stay.

Comfortable and accessible for my needs although slightly expensive
Cresta Jwaneng stay

You stuck with what you get as there are not really anyone else that cater for accommodation there. Rooms are good and clean, my problem is their restaurant, they have a buffet and for most people that eat a lot it probably works. The ale cart is very limited and both times I had steak (fillet) it was not good. The price to stay is not cheap and only include breakfast that is also not very good. As a compliment, the staff is always cheerful and helpful. Botswana people in general are great
Stay over trip

We stayed over for one night on a trip back to SA from Namibia. After a 10 hour journey Cresta was a welcoming sight with everything a tired traveler needs to get a good nights rest. Dinner was easy at the restaurant on site. Warm shower and comfortable bed was very welcomed. Breakfast in the morning also fantastic before going on the road again. Will definitely be back on our next trip.
Pleasant surprise in a rural town

We were driving back from South Africa to Namibia and stayed over at this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised, not expecting this quality in a rural mining town. The rooms were spacious, clean, with free Wi-Fi, had a fridge (important when you have carry food and refreshments with you for the long road), and coffee making facilities (coffee, tea and milk provided). There is a good restaurant on site, offering dinner and breakfast, the latter included in the reasonable room rate. They have an inviting-looking pool, which we did not use, though, as we arrived a little bit too late for a swim. One drawback was the smell of raw sewerage in the air, coming from outside the premises, i.e. not the hotels fault. Closing the doors and windows is therefore advisable; the rooms have air-conditioning. It also to keep the ever present mosquitos at bay (Botswana is known for this, not only in Jwaneng). Ask for an insecticide, they are glad to supply it.
A good hotel at a convenient location

The hotel is a good choice for overnight visitors travelling through Botswana on the Trans-Kalahari Highway. It is conveniently located and easy to reach. IT has a good restaurant, that serves a decent dinner (steaks were good) and breakfast. It also has a large swimming pool off in after a long day on the road. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are large, with a comfortable bed. They also have a bar-fridge, which is good for keeping food and drinks that one takes on the road, cold. A drawback is the condition the hotel is in. It needs some serious renovation to bring it up to the standard one can normally expect from a Cresta Hotel. However, for a one-night stay-over, it is still value for money.
Nothing exciting but basic services

Cresta Jwaneng is a standard type of hotel - probably one of the better in Jwaneng but nothing to get too excited about.

Staff super helpful really a pleasure
