Absolutely exceeded all expectations for me. This city was amazing - but El Convento hotel and staff went above and beyond to make my family’s stay memorable. I will definitely come back and would recommend this hotel to anyone considering. The Hotel itself was beautiful, good water pressure in showers, and comfortable beds.

This hotel is one of the most beautiful in Antigua. The rooms (and beds) are great. The property has lots of little living rooms to sit around and a beautiful rooftop terrace. My only complaint would be that the food is not that great, given the quality of the rest of the hotel.

It is with mixed feelings that I qualify the experience as poor - the hotel is absolutely stunning and the staff very solicitous but there are too many problems/ issues that make the stay a hassle- the restaurant is mediocre - there are no power plugs to connect cell / laptops unless you move a heavy credenza, there was not even a table where to put the laptop- the TV didn’t work, the elecrical grid was unstable and the worst was when they applied an absolutely toxic chemical in the garden that had us coughing and hardly being able to breathe - this is totally overpriced and they will go out of their way to rip you off in any kind of service or food they provide - so, in spite of the truly gorgeous setting this is a third world property trying to charge you US prices for non comparable value

Me encantó mi estadía en El Convento. Lo recomiendo mil veces!! Es muy limpio y callado. El servicio fue excelente. Me encantó que el desayuno estuvo incluido. Volvería a quedarme aquí otra vez.

One of the most beautiful hotels my husband and I have stayed in. The staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and was more than happy to arrange private tours for us to all the points of interest !
