The staff wasn’t helpful at the front desk. No knowledge about the town, events or restaurants near the hotel. The room is very basic and outdated. The shower does not have a head shower and the exterior area needs to be clean. The lobby smell like chlorine

The management will steal your money and jewelry. It’s not the maid, it’s a choreographed plan management has in place to steal from you while you are absent from the room - even if for only 30 minutes.
I stayed one night and during breakfast management went into my room and stole a very expensive watch and €210 out of my packed luggage - probably why they don’t have functional lock boxes in their rooms. I filed a police report immediately. Beware and keep in mind that management has extra keys to the lock boxes, so even if you think you are secure by locking your valuables in a “lock box”. It’s not secure!

The only thing I didn't like was that they only have 5 taxis available in the area. The driver charged us 70 euros to go to the train station. It was a lovely place, great food in the restaurant, but nothing else around which is walking distance.

The service is great, but few small things that are not great.
First of all there is no A/C, the breakfast is ok at best, beds are not comfortable. No shower curtain in bathroom so water goes everywhere.
You have to pay to use the pool, which is annoying

The hosts were super friendly and offered to extend dinner time in their restaurant when I arrived late. Also gave indications of how to move around. The hotel is 20 mins walk to Montepulciano and 25 mins walk from the bus station. It has a great pool and Spa that can be used by paying an extra fee. The rooms were ok, not super spacious, but had a small fridge and balcony.
At the begining it wasnt that great , we arrived too early around noon and they told us the room wasnt rready until 2:00 We said ok and went out to lunch when we came back at 2:30 the room wasnt ready, we had to wait for more than 1/2 hour. We went to our room and the air conditioning wasnt working they said they were sending a mechanic that never showed up, finally I told the person at the front desk that we needed another room and finally they gave us another one. after that everything was fine. Breakfast the next day was great.

Double-check your room before check-out
Two hours after checking out (and two hours' drive away) I realised I left a wine gift box (3 bottles of relatively expensive wine) in the room. After several calls to the reception and their checking the room and lost &found items, as they said, I was told there was no wine gift box anywhere. On top of that they were also trying to convince me I made up the whole story, I did not even purchase any wine, I might not be aware of what I was doing etc. - implying I was lying. Disappointed by their attitude, unprofessional! Well, I know I purchased the Pulcino Vino Nobile as a gift for my family back home, put it on the corner table in the room and regretfully forgot to pack it when I checked-out. My travel buddy witnessed the situation. The wine box could not just vanish into thin air! Whoever drank the wine, I hope they liked the choice!

Very nice property close to Montepulciano. The rooms could use a little updating, carpet cleaned. But other than that it was splendid!
