Japanese style with onsen was clean and comfortable with pleasant staff. Good onsen facility - great after a day of hiking. Relaxed dinners after hot bath made for a great 2-night stay. Transport provided to and from the station, 1.2 km away.

Breakfast and dinner are included and the menu changes daily. The meals are presented beautifully. There is a free shuttle to the train station. It is a little walk to the small streets lined with shops and eateries, but not bad. They provided umbrellas when it rained.
The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Foot heaters under the futon!
Such a beautiful quaint hotel. Staff from the driver to the ladies in the kitchen, all are friendly and made us feel so welcome. Food is amazing. Overall, it’s the highlight of our Japan trip this time.

This is gem of a small traditional Japanese inn for a very affordable price. The building is lovely. The service was friendly and unobtrusive. The room was small but attractive, clean and peaceful. The onsen (public bath) was clean and other guests friendly. A bit further from old area of town than some other places but well worth the bit of extra walking! Located right beside a shrine.
We had a fantastic stay! The people were wonderful and they went out of their way to make sure we had a great Time in Takayama!

Excellent staff, so friendly and helpful. Good was first rate! The onsen was also wonderful at the end of a long day of touring. Takayama was a really charming town, full of character of old Japan. Highly recommend!

Very hospitable and cosy ryokan. You will not go hungry with the amount of food they provide during dinner and breakfast!
