Great location, unique vibe to the apartment

We paid a lot for a room in this property that featured a private bathroom. We left after 10 minutes upon realizing The pictures are deceiving. There is a bathroom down the hall that is shared with all rooms. I have a complaint into Expedia regarding the misrepresentation and am hoping to be refunded. DO NOT Fall for their scam.

Pictures of the room we stayed in didn’t match the reality. Staff were helpful and friendly. Should be listed as a hostel rather than a hotel. Cleaner did a very good job

Check-in was a nightmare because they don't always have someone at the B&B so it took over 1 hour for someone to come and let us in. The room has a "private" but not attached bathroom, in other words you have to walk down the hallway to the bathroom which is assigned to your room. Breakfast was essentially a few items left in the fridge (also assigned to each room) including some deli meat, yogurt, hard boiled eggs and bread. They also had a coffee machine, cookies and pastries in the common kitchen area available at all times. We only stayed here one night since we had an overnight layover through Barcelona so we dealt with the dorm-like bathroom situation but couldn't have done it for a longer stay.

The property is in bad condition. The pictures on the website are very misleading. There are broken tiles all over the room you can’t walk barefoot it is dangerous. I cut my foot on one of the broken tiles. It is extremely over priced for what is offered. The breakfast provided had rotten tomatoes. If you are looking for a hostel at the price of a hotel then this is for you.

I liked the fact that it was close to some areas of interest. I feel this type of rooms are more for like teenagers. It was awfully small and felt more like a prison.

We were disappointed. The room we got was not AT ALL like the photos on Expedia or the Factory website. We got a dark box that measured 2m by 4m, sparsely furnished, with a black wall and a false window- leading not outside, but to a shaft within the building leading down to a noisy bar. The earplugs did little to muffle the sounds that continued until 1-2am, 2 of our 3 nights. We paid over $700 for 3 nights. Maybe this is inexpensive for Eixample Barcelona, but we felt swindled by the “false” online marketing. Does Christina the owner even exist? We only met the cleaning person, briefly, otherwise there is zero personnel and our WhatsApp communications rarely got answered. Email and calls: nada. The fridges are not full size, breakfast rations are not homemade as they say in writing, and the milk had gone bad. The ecletic look of the common spaces is fine, but regardless of the room you get (sunny with real window? or dark cell…): this is a hostal with 4 private rooms, in an appartment building, with self-serve grocery store breakfast. I have travelled to over 20 countries, always on a budget and we regretted this splurge. $235 per night per room is too much for cramped and sleepless night. The common area was nice, but please put the real photos of the actual rooms so travelers know what to expect. This comment was echoed by a couple we crossed paths with - in another dark box-like room, so it wasn’t just us.

The person who checked us in was wonderful and very helpful. The apartment was cute, and it was in a great location. Be sure to check the online posting well, as it does not do a good job of indicating which room has an on suit and which does not. We had a bathroom that was outside of our room.

First of all, I didn't realize this was more like a hostel - so rooms with shared kitchen and lounge area. The name of the property is Factory Suites, so I thought it was like a regular hotel suite. There was no elevator, no front desk, no bellboy. The room was on the 3rd floor and we had big, heavy suitcases! I was very thankful I was not traveling alone because I have a bad back, an injured knee and my right foot was still healing from a recent surgery, so no way would I have been able to get my suitcase up by myself without great difficulty and pain. And then there was the bar next door with VERY LOUD music until the wee hours of the morning. So, barely slept in the 3 nights we were there. Furniture was old. No microwave. I tried to cancel the booking and was looking for a decent hotel to transfer to but per Expedia staff that we spoke with, we wouldn't get a refund if we did. Spent a good amount of time on the phone with Expedia and they did try to help (I think), but to no avail. If you want to stay in a hotel and in a real suite, then this is not it.

"Staying at this accommodation was an absolute delight! The host went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, providing thoughtful touches and excellent communication. The location was ideal, offering easy access to local attractions. A truly memorable experience!"
Nice place, especially if you like meeting people

Excellent location ...woman that took care of the apt was very nice and helpful...nice common areas (kitchen, living room and outdoor area.) The breakfast was simple but definitely enough to get you going.! The bath was nice but tiny(common In Europe.) You might call this "a little bohemian" but it fit our needs at a decent price. And we were able to meet people from Australia, France,China and U.S.The largest down side...The bed room floor was filthy, broken tiles and loose tiles. Our white socks were black on the bottom after 2 minutes in the room.

Great place to stay! Very welcoming host. Everything is within minutes of walking. Excellent to have a breakfast included especially for Sunday. Diffidently recommend this place!
Had a great time

We had a great stay here. Whilst the buildings a bit old and has a corrugated floor it was cosy and welcoming. Christina (the manager) was delightful and couldnt do enough to help us out. The breakfast (carefully sectioned off to each room) was well thought out and scrumptious. We stayed here as we only had 1 night so stayed near the basilica. Christina's friendly manner was what really made our trip
Mixed feelings

For us the location was ideal, being walkable to places of interest yet away from the crowds. The provision of breakfast & tea, coffee, cake & biscuits at anytime of the day was really good, so that you set off for the day well fed. Using the communal lounge & dining area with other guests & with each room having its own food & space in the fridges worked well. The decor and furnishings are shabby chic & overall pleasant however the chairs in the lounge area have seen better days & need replacing as the springs are hanging out the bottom & not comfortable. A lick of paint to freshen up areas would be good too. The provision of ear plugs I thought was to help cut out any noise from other guests coming & going if you were sleeping. This was not necessary. They were however to help cut out the sound of terrible electronic house / rave music coming through the foundations of the building from a bar called Santa Martha next door, which obviously thought that it was a club, not a bar. This place was open until 3am in the morning & so resulted in us getting the worst 4 nights sleep ever. I don't know why the owner has not addressed this with the bar as it's detrimental to her business. It turns out that the bar doesn't even have a license to play music & Thai, very nice woman who works at the Factory, even called the police to address. I had to go down on 2 nights to get the music turned down/off. Unless the music issue gets sorted I would not stay here again, which is a shame.

What a fantastic little place this is! Great communication for check in. Lovely staff to greet us on arrival. Good directions make it easy to find. In a perfect area for exploring Barcelona on foot. Close to everything in a lovely part of the city. Great selection of restaurants close by. No lift so have to carry luggage upstairs - not a problem for us, but just an FYI. The main area of the B&B is gorgeously decorated and you can tell the owner has put a lot of care and attention to detail into the place with her knick-knacks. We stayed in a double room with private bathroom, and it was perfect. Good size, well-appointed, comfortable beds, air conditioning much appreciated in the heat wave we experienced. The bathroom was tiny but served us well and we were grateful for the privacy. The breakfast was fantastic. Each room gets assigned a section in the fridge with juice, milk, eggs, fruit etc that is topped up during their stay, and there is a good selection of pastries and cereals. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.
