Check the schedule of the party venue next door!

Beautiful old monastery set in nature, well off the beaten path and away from the hustle and bustle. Sounds divine, right? Check ahead to make sure there’s no party scheduled in the building next door (60 meters away) during your stay. If there is, you will have no peace and quiet. When we pulled into the full parking lot and heard the boom-boom-boom base of loud music playing, we wondered if we were in the wrong place. A children’s birthday party, complete with bounce-house, DJ music interspersed with adults talking on a microphone!! There was nobody there to check us in, only a key left under a pot by the door. After two solid hours of listening to boom-boom-boom (clearly heard from inside our room with windows closed), children squealing and occasionally crying, I called the number given with our check-in information to see how long the party would be going. I was told that building is separate from the hotel, and they don’t have control over it. After another hour the music finally ended, then a half hour of people saying goodbye and making their way to their cars, and another half hour of a few stragglers with children running around the parking lot probably burning off too much sugar. Finally, after 10:00, some quiet. The room and bathroom were small and sparse, but what we expected. The shower needs maintenance on the peeling paint. Twin beds were comfy, pillows were flat. Breakfast was a nice spreads of meats, cheese, fruit, yogurt, mueslix, bread.

It is in a natural setting with access to walking trails and close to the Port of Alcudia. There was a good breakfast. The room walls are a bit thin if your neighbors talk loudly on the phone or snore.

Beautiful old monastery turned into a hotel. The church is located below and you can check it out. The location is great for hiking, and the views are spectacular. We woke up and did an hour or two of hiking before breakfast - that was perfect. The restaurant nearby is great - def. recommend ordering their Majorcan/local specialties. The woman who checked us in was sweet, and also made a great breakfast buffet. My recommendation would be to check in before the office closes (at 4 or 5PM?) otherwise check-in is a bit more difficult since no one is on site to check people in.
Beautiful historic building with panoramic views

Set on top of La Victoria cliff, the view is stunning and ambience very relaxing, a must for those who like to be out of hustle and bustle and prefer to have walking trails and great sunset views.
Wonderful view.

The view from the hotel over the bay is fabulous and the best restaurant on Mallorca (close to the hotel) is only a short climb up some steps. I do not know what the rooms would be like in Summer, as there is no A/C. The punks fan on the ceiling might provide some comfort. The restaurant up the hill, La Mirador, is fabulous and the views from it are the best on the island!

Wonderful location - very remote! Pretty building, stunning views and peaceful. The rooms are basic - ceiling fan, no air-con, tiny en-suite. Breakfast was also basic, don't expect too much! But, the views across the bay, and access to walking routes are why you come here. The Restaurante Mirador de la Victoria is outstanding! We'd come back again for their food, the walking routes and S'Illot beach. Do bear in mind that the location of this hostel is next to the restaurant - currently the Hotels.com location is not accurate. Our SatNav struggled to navigate to the hotel, we had to go with intuition! Check a map carefully before you set out to get here!
Ideal Getaway in North Majorca

All good, except we did not know that the restaurant would be closed on a Monday. Also it would have been useful to know to bring picnic food and drinks with us as there is a big communal fridge in the kitchen that guests can use

Great place to stay for quiet relaxing time. Basic but perfect. Location is beautiful with a fantastic restaurant set in one of the best locations you can find
Good value for prize, beautiful location

Perfect location for hiking and peaceful stays. Walls are very thin so be prepared to hear your neighbours...staff ok, not overly friendly or welcoming....

Room was very small with tiny window, but great for the price! Really unbeatable rate for a budget trip. Staff are friendly and helpful and the location has great views.

Beautiful old building well restored and well decorated. The location is wonderful and good for hikers.
Charming at first glance, but best for athletes

One has to be in top shape to climb those 60 steps under a 30 degrees heat while carrying your luggages, after an oversea flight... You also have to be careful when taking your shower because there is no holding bar and no shelf to put your soap or container in the tiny shower stall. in the tiny bathroom.
Away from everything

Totally isolated from the main tourist spots of Mallorca...which was brilliant! Don't expect a hotel. This is a grown up hostel (beds get made, and rooms cleaned daily). Staff are about on mornings at weekends, and contactable by phone. Breakfast was a buffet with lots of choices; although the tortilla and bacon was a favourite. The building is very special and converted sympathetically. Waking up to the sound of singing in the church we were sleeping above was pretty amazing! Would recommend a second floor room as windows on the first floor were tiny. A car or bike is necessary to stay here, and be able to come and go easily. The beach is a 15 min walk, and does get busy with locals, and has a bar. The restaurant near the accommodation is fine. Not going to make it to a Michelin star, but the views were worth it. Would recommend booking early if you want a table overlooking the sea. Overall I'd recommend the La Victoria, for anyone who wants to get away from everything.
Cosy small hotel in a beautiful surrounding

I've spent fantastic 11 days in this hotel and definetly I would like to come back in future. The location is owesome, views breathtaking, ample and delicious breakast buffet. Fantastic place to spend regenerating holiday in an atmosphere of peace and serenity, away from the hustle and bustle our daily life. Although the staff is very limited - 2 ladies, and visible only during mornings everything is unbelivably clean and well maintained. Despite the seaview from room window, the nearest accessible beach is over a mile away and a car or at least a bike is a must. The pristine cristal clear water offsets the inconvenience. There is a restaurant serving delicious local dishes in direct neighbourhood and for those who prefer to prepare meals themselves access to fully equipped kitchen. Perfect place for recharging batteries. Not for night life lovers.
Pros and cons

The hotel is not your typical hotel in the sense that it is more of a DIY style accommodation, as in the hotel is unstaffed for majority of the day. This is not a problem but would be nice if it was specified somewhere (or perhaps I should've checked the hotel website). Upon check in (4:30pm) there was no staff at the hotel and the door was locked. We didn't have a SIM card that could make calls (another story for Lycamobile). The restaurant next door was kind enough (and also luckily they were open at the time) to lend us their phone so we could call the number posted on the hotel door (we thought the hotel could probably provide a public phone nearby). Once we got in, the room and the hotel is cute as a button, with a kitchen you can use. The rooms tho were roasting hot in the middle of summer with only a ceiling fan and a small window. The bed was 2 single beds pushed together, and the wooden beams of the bed (under the mattress) was very weak and slipped out a few times. The bathroom was the smallest I've ever seen in a hotel (and I've been to some small ones in Melbourne and Hong Kong). That said, If I knew what I was in for upfront, it would've been less frustrating. The location is quite secluded which is what we were after. There is an amazing quiet beach nearby (would still drive tho) with an incredible hidden cave. All in all, we loved alcudia. Few hiccups with the hotel but once you settle in, it's quite the experience. If you plan to stay for a few nights, do stock up on supplies (water, snacks) as the nearest shops are driving distance away.
Great position - facilities lacking

Lovely position but old cells difficult to convert comfortably. v small bathroom.
Unique and charming hotel

Lovely unusual building. During the day, a honeypot for visitors but at night and in the early mornings hotel guests have this wonderful location to themselves. The rooms have thick walls and small windows, a strong reminder of the building's heritage. And then upstairs, a spacious and comfortable lounge. The adjacent restaurant is great but the fact that the hotel allows guests to use its kitchen outside of breakfast hours is a great plus.
Service a tad disappointing. location amazing!

It is easy to say the locale for this location is spectacular. What a terrific spot and a unique location. but I have to say with wasn´t terrific on service. The staff person on site was also minding the cafe was as helpful as she could be but there was no one on the premises when we arrived and little support for folks from out of town//other countries. This would´t keep us from recommending the place given its amazing location, but be prepared as you can´t count on someone being there to help with any detailed questions. We kinda felt like we were visiting family that weren´t really prepared for our visit or ready to help us with our stay.
A great find away from it all

An amazing little place we really enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. Its tucked away in the mountains and so peaceful. The rooms are very basic but we expected that its very clean and well looked after , its great to sit out on the balcony on a night with a bottle of wine. Breakfast are good value with plenty of choice, the restaurant next to it is superb serving lovely meals. Would defiantly return.
