Visited with family and really enjoyed the stay. The staff is very friendly and courteous. We got an upgrade while checking-in and the rooms are really spacious with direct access to pool. The restaurant in hotel serve good options for both veg and nonveg. Overall a great property in bentota.

Property is very nice specially the highlight of properties it's big swimming pool. Food is not very good and is also expensive but overall srilanka is a very expensive place for indians but hotel is overall very nice. Beware veg no options at all

resort is great and has some good amenities but food was a major issue…and they need to improve on serving asian or rather the indian crowd there is a clear distinction between the west and asian nationals

Rooms are ok. The property is opened in 2014. The pool view rooms are the best. Great pool and vast spread of breakfast. Child friendly with lot of activities and play room. Beach front property and you will have to travel in. About for 5mnts to reach the resorts from front desk/parking area. The boat man is always available and you will not have to wait more than 5mnts. Food is expensive with huge taxes. Service is excellent.

Good location good food however vegetarian options are limited. Service however needs improvement nobody picks up the phone whether it's housekeeping and room service.

This incident happened upon checking-in on 11/11/24, I was informed that driver accommodation was unavailable, contrary to prior confirmation of my check in via email. First of all, No one was at the welcome desk area, the Boat guy welcomed us at arrival. After arrival we came to know that driver's accommodation was full in spite of our earlier check in via email. We called up front desk/reception person (who was on the other side of the water. As the main reception is at the other side of the river. We asked him for the solution in this situation or to call up on the duty manager but no revert came. We (my wife and daughter of 12) waited there for 25 mins for reception and duty manager to revert on our situation. None came forward with any solution and receptionist kept on insisting on phone to come on the other side of water where mainreception & rooms are there. After waiting for around 30 minutes we went to main reception. Still duty manager was absent & the receptionist was LITRALLY LAUGHING ON US over this situation. He then called the duty manager, for which we requested around 40 mins back. While on call with the duty manager again he was laughing & making fun of us this entire time. 55 mins passed the arrival comes the duty manager (without wearing any badge or so. Seems to have just woke up from the sleep. We requested him to firstly handle their staff/receptionist to behave professionally which he failed to do so. Later we came up with the solution to find any nearby accommodation for the driver for which we will pay. Upon that he agreed. While all this frustrations & unpleasant situation happening THE RECEPTIONIST WAS AGAIN KEPT LAUGHING LITRALLY ON OUR FACE for don't know why. Key Issues: 1. I hv Pre-booked confirmation via mail and fulfill the check in process still the front desk staff and duty manager behaved very much unprofessionally. 2. Unavailability for drivers stay - Hotel claimed that the driver's accommodation was full. So after a long tiring day, all we had to do is to again look for the driver's accomplice & paid to stay somewhere else. 3. Unprofessional Staff - Receptionist Named Mr. attitude and behavior was totally unacceptable he was just laughing all the time. Neither did he was able to resolve the issue nor he could offer us a glass of water. He dint explained anything like WiFi password, breakfast timing anything. 4. We were told by receptionist that Mr. Duty Manager was roaming around the property and he came after 50 mins to meet us personally and even after listening our issue he was unable to resolve the matter. Also even after his warning & in his presence the receptionist was still laughing like he was high on drug's. 5. When I raised the issue to General manager Mr he offered me a complementary lunch with a form where I need to sign that I will not raise the issue

Decent can stay for 2 nights.

Nh bentota stay was good overall. The hotel is by the sea side. The reception area is very beautiful. You go by the boat to the actual hotel crossing the bentota river. The lady who receives at the dinner is very nice and welcoming. The reception staff does manage to check you in and check you out. A little dark in the nights in the monsoon season. The auto drivers might charge exorbitant amount which are at the back gate near sea and may argue if you take or get an outside tuktuk. Bentota otherwise is very beautiful and clam laid back town, very humble and welcoming people.

The stay was excellent and they upgraded our room from deluxe garden view to deluxe river view room. According to me pool view rooms are very good. The service was excellent and staff is very polite and helpful. You have to cross the river to reach the resort which is again a beautiful experience. There are only two small negative point which are- the portion of the food served in room dining or ala carte is very less and they charge you 10-15% service charge which is exorbitant and they will not waive this off. Rest all very good, beach instant access, water sports, garden, property view and swimming pool is great.

I highly recommend nh bentota ceysands resort to anyone looking for a luxurious, peaceful retreat by the beach. It’s the perfect combination of nature, comfort, and top-notch service.

An excellent resort that's situated between a river and the ocean. Very large resort with excellent facilities. Beach is right next to the property. Lots of water sports options in the river. Very neat clean property with very polite and welcoming staff. Food options are limited for vegetarians
