Fair View Hotel Colombo

Me and my wife stayed here and I am a regular customer of this Fair View Hotel Colombo. Positive points best well mannered staffs, tasty breakfast, secure, clean bathrooms, uninterrupted WiFi, cab facility, beach view rooms, comfortable bed, located inside city makes it easy to travel and get things required, 24x7 receptionists, electricians to address any issues, hassle free locker which is operable easily. Negative points I would like to say it as improvements that are required than saying negative points, as this Fair View Hotel Colombo could become best with making few adjustments as they already got rest in place, especially well mannered staffs. 1. Main concern even though it is a closed room (no windows), it is dusty so much not sure how no matter how much the room service person cleans it thoroughly, the dust gets accumulated and clearly visible when lights are on near bed mirrors, tables, tv table, table mirror which makes it difficult to eat anything in room or keep anything edible. If management can take care of this, it would make a lot of difference to the clients as dust allergic people will find it difficult inside. I have noticed this problem in all my stays no matter which room it is. 2. No bathroom slippers coming from bathroom, the legs are again accumulated with dirt so having these will help to have clean legs and room without water. 3. There is no door peep hole which is mandatory for the security reason as we will not know who is knocking the door unless we open and see. (I know no one will knock the door but still it is good to have if we are expecting someone). 4. There is no door bell and the person has to knock the room door. 5. No data log was available with list of numbers to call inside Fair View Hotel Colombo (reception number, restaurant number etc) would be helpful to have a small paper in the phone itself so easy to refer and call. 6. Fan was very slow in the room which I stayed, every room should have fans at their max speed so if people don't prefer ac can switch to fans at times whenever required. (ac was fully operational and no complaints on that). 7. It would be good to keep brush and toothpaste for a new user occupying room for the first time without them asking. 8. Sink in bathroom lets water clog most of the times as the sink outlet was thin in the room I stayed personal suggestion, there should be an inspection conducted by the Fair View Hotel Colombo management staffs before clients are given the room, so they can ensure everything is in place and looks good. Not sure if the management will read through all these points but I am planning for a trip again in December end and would like to see at-least some of these improvements done, so I could give a five star rating immediately for all sections. I would like to appreciate staffs once again for being so calm, professional and well mannered. Keep up the good work.

We loved the Fair View Hotel Colombo and its services. The location is perfect for the following reasons- A. very close to the beach. B. Easy to locate. C. Good connectivity by taxi and auto. D. Close to railway station (which made it easier to travel to Kandy). The food- A. Breakfast had a good variety. B. Good taste. The staff- A. Very polite. B. Very courteous. C. Very friendly and supportive we arrived at the Fair View Hotel Colombo earlier than our check in time and the staff was very co-operative and gave us a place to freshen up and change and relax. They also got the room cleaned and set asap and gave it to us at the earliest possible. We got a great deal on the tariff through MMT.

Stay was comfortable, friendly staffs and safe environment with easy access to Colombo City. Rooms are still dusty though, management should take proper steps to make it dust free. As a regular customer, I had raised this point before too as even after room service the room gets dusty very fast even though it is a closed room (with no windows). This is the only negative point I have. Special thing I like about this Hotel is fan with ac facility. I Am a person who likes fan with ac and so this Hotel is perfect for me which I haven't seen in many Fair View Hotel Colombos.

Stay location is excellent. Food & service was also good.
The rooms are best suited for business traveller, couples. The size, cleanliness, basic facility is up to the mark. Room service is keep and efficient. I only had problem with the BED as it was too soft unlike my personal choice of a bit hard one. Rest everything is good. Nice locality. Market and main street is at a walkable distance. Beach is very Close by.

It is nine less than 6 star Fair View Hotel Colombo, I have stayed almost all 5 stars Fair View Hotel Colombo in Colombo. It is best among all. Neat spacy room with awesome sea view, morning buffet is tremendously good with fresh baked confectionery, throughout the Fair View Hotel Colombo cinnamon aroma, always greeting staff. Master stroke is Price is so affordable!

The food service is not favorable for vegetarians. Not many options and not well separated from the meat dishes.
Hotel is in a quiet area just a few minutes walk from the ocean so the air outside is very fresh. There is a nice sidewalk that goes for many kilometers next to the water.

Go for it without second thought. Friendly staffs and clean rooms. You will definitely get a pleasant stay.
I am regular customer and I am happy to see user friendly staffs, good restaurant staffs, clean room for a pleasant stay at reasonable price every time. Keep up the good work.

It is not lesser than any 5 star Fair View Hotel Colombo, it is very cheap compare to 5 star Fair View Hotel Colombos in Colombo. Especially employees are well mannered compared to other Fair View Hotel Colombos. I would definitely recommend to all. It is 6 star Fair View Hotel Colombo.

One night stay was pleasant and comfortable
This Fair View Hotel Colombo is ideal for one night stay. Hygiene rooms, good hospitality, nice breakfast about 25 meters from Wellawatte Beach, but cannot take Bath in Beach. We enjoyed one night stay in this Fair View Hotel Colombo.

MakeMyTrip make hard to publish review. By, forcing to write and responds thousand of questions. I just wanted to rate 5 stars as I found it nice. But, you ask thousand question forcing, that's not nice.
Everything was perfect. Nice breakfast

Highlight of our stay at Fair View Hotel was the morning breakfast. We stayed here for four days and the breakfast was really delicious. Authentic Srilanka dishes prepared with care along with usual continental spread.

It was great experience at stay at fair view Hotel. Staff is very good and very helpful. Love with location sea view. Everything was fantastic. My greetings to all staff they are such a nice people.

Excellent Fair View Hotel Colombo, great location in Colombo. Right next to the beach and just 20 mini cab ride away from main Colombo attractions. 10/10 on cleanliness and staff behavior.

Location is close to beach. Many grocery stores and Indian restaurants are near by. Stay was good.

We stayed for one night. The amenities are good. Room is clean, location is quite good as well.

We stayed as a family and it was a comfortable safe stay. Balcony with better View to Sea. Enjoyed the stay.
