So I've just recently stayed at the Payidar Hotel in Gülbahar for 10 days and the room was only cleaned once during our stay, the maids weren't very nice and tended to stay on their phones. We ended up having to fill bin bags of rubbish and take them downstairs along with dirty towels to receive dry 'clean' towels that were covered in yellow stains. The hotel staff didn't apologise or have any excuse for not cleaning. I'd like to add I've just had major surgery and stayed in the hotel for rest as it's local to the hospital I received surgery for so naturally you expect clean. I understand there is a language and culture barrier but surely customer service and general hygiene is still standard. The floors weren't brushed, the shower had blocked by hair by customers beforehand. I think something was wrong with the drain as it soaked the floor. Luckily my partner and I hadn't slipped. When we were in the room as they were doing their one clean, they gave us unpleasant looks and made us uncomfortable. We offered to leave and they shook their heads.
It felt like we were inconveniencing them anytime we asked for things like hot water for tea as there's no kettle in the room. (One of the reasons we booked is because a kettle was photographed as an amenity), there was one member of staff who was really polite and even though there was a language barrier that didn't make us feel like us staying there was a nuisance to them.
It’s okay not all that. My mum had a heart condition we booked the ground floor and was to go to the third floor. They didn’t have a lift nothing. In the room there were no facilities for coffee etc or anything I was shocked. I paid nearly £400 for this hotel didn’t expect it to be like that. However they did have the room service outsourced. So could order and food would come straight to your room door. Below average hotel tbh. In places like turkey hotels should be more luxury as it’s cheaper.

verified t.selfMar 26, 2021 The room looks nothing like the photos, I had to wear a mask to fall asleep because the room was filled with lingering smoke (even though it was advertised as non-smoking room on the website), mixed with smell of peep, and the worst, they heavily sprayed the disinfectant to try to cover the funky smell but it made the matter worst. I had only stayed for one night of though booked for 2 nights.

Quiet hotel. Good location and very reasonable price. Clean. The receptionist are nice. But don’t speak English.it seems not many in Istanbul speaks English anyway and not many English speaking visitors. Need to liven up the restaurant with some tasty music and open the restaurant constantly for customers. Not only for breakfast. Close to the centre. Good bargain.
Rude tiny rooms dirty but cheap good location yes
First to be clear the price is cheap so you pay for what you get. The lication is good. Metro about 15 min walk and shopes around. BUT the staff OMG. Only one pearson speaks at the hotel that comes at night. And you would wish not to talk with him he is VERY rude and unpolit. I booked 2 rooms it said on the website a bed ro be added for kids but he didnt do it the first 5 day. I had family coming over and staying with me he caclulates them and took money every night for them and didnt want to give a recipt. One night he told my sister she is not allowed to go in unless she pays. The place is old dirty and uncofrtable. I had to move later to another hotel. My advice pay more to stay in a better place. I booked this place and i was unbaressed by it. The rooms that they gave us at first were very small the stroller had to stay out.
quite hotel which is located in lovely neighborhood. The only problem I encountered was stairs which is really inconvenient for those who carry heavy bags.

It was a good stay at DND hotel, it seems they had changed the hotel name into something from the time I arrived :) The staff is friendly and attentive.
