Easy access to public transportation and the area is quiet.
Not many restaurants around.
We stayed in this property for five nights and absolutely loved it. The room was spacious, clean, and had all of the things we needed for a great stay in Kyoto.
I’ll focus on two of our biggest needs as a family of four - transportation and food.
Transportation - bus stops right outside and across the street. Umekoji-Kyotonishi station is an easy walk through the park, which is a slightly longer walk than just walking along the east-west road that is just a block north of the property. It’s just such a nice walk to go through the park. U-K station is one stop away from Kyoto station and a direct line to Arashiyama. East access to all that you want to get to.
Food - There is a restaurant downstairs that serves Taiwanese food. Really good! There is also a wonderful bakery around the corner in a narrow alley that serves vegan white bread, delicious coffee, and lots of other fresh-baked goods. The curry bread was my favorite. Check out Tsujiya Umekoji Kita for a fun izakaya experience. Great food and environment. Best meal we had in Kyoto. Lots of other food options around that we weren’t able to take advantage of on this trip. 7-11 and Ministop nearby.
We loved this place. Great launching point for our Kyoto adventures. Looking forward to staying again.
Great staff, complicated check-in
The apart-hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. They even helped me forward our luggage to Tokyo which was so nice! We had a few challenges with the AC making a dripping sound, and the washer/dryer not functioning. They sent someone over right away and tried to fix them as best they could.
Please note: CHECK-IN IS AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION. It's about 10-15 minutes away. They sent a message a few days before but we were traveling so much that I didn't catch it. (my bad) We were hot, sweaty and so ready to get to our room but then I had to shlep all the way to the check-in next to Kyoto Station. That being said, I do plan to stay closer to the station next time for convenience overall.

Very quiet street, near a beautiful park, two massive temples an aquarium and a train museum. 15 minutes walk from Kyoto central station. Would recommend

Our family of four had an excellent stay. There plenty of space and amenities. Convenient location and a great restaurant in the building. The only issue is that there is no staff on site, and when we went to check in we had to call someone who required that we pay an additional Kyoto tax prior to giving us the room code.

mariano.familyFeb 19, 2024 El hotel es increible, si bien esta a unos 15 min de la estacion central, tiene un para de bus en la puerta, eramos 5 en la habitacion, tiene de todo, hasta una play 5, a mis hijos les encanto, en la esquina tiene un seveneleven para comprar comida. solo tener en cuenta que el checkin se debe hacer en la estacion central y no en la propiedad, tambien tiene un locker para dejar las maletas. muy recomendable.
Neat, spacious and convenient to take buses
sharon.familyJul 15, 2023 Such a well layed out room. Separate toilet, sink and shower areas. Loved that the shower area could be used to dry our clothes while we were out for the day. The washing machine and detergent was easy and quick to use. Very clean. The place was perfect for our family of 5 with older teenage kids.

Bad point: the response is inefficient and too late.
The staff told me that we can directly check in at the hotel site by following the instructions in an email she sent, but I neither got the email nor received a proper response via LINE talk.
I had no choice but to go back to the reception counter near Kyoto station (20 min by walking), finishing the check-in procedure. There should be a more efficient and convenient way for those who may need to check in at the hotel site.

房間空間十分足夠 有微波爐 可以翻熱麵包和熟食 好方便
稍為不滿意的是 廁所浴缸去水位 不暢順 發現好多頭髮

Excelente ubicacion, se encuentra muy cerca de la estación y muy cerca de algunos puntos de interes, ademas se accede facil al tranporte local.
