The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The grounds were outstanding. Our concierge Sebastian was amazing.
Most were good. Lots of mosquitoes inside the room though.
And dining is not as good as the resort itself.

What was such a treat at the Esperanza, was the quality of people, the professionalism of service and staff, the personal care, making every effort to make you feel extremely spoiled. Karim, your personal concierge, is exceptional. Jaesian and Fernanda at the pool are top notch in service. The pool is stunning with its 2 infinity edges and seating in the 3rd level. And a beautiful beach to enjoy. The Restauant on site, located with a spectacular view, fabulous dishes that are clearly created by magnificent chefs, is our go to spot even after trying other 5 star local restaurants in close 5 star resorts. We give the Esperanza a 10 out of 10!

The property and the rooms are beautiful and most of the staff was super friendly and attentive to all our needs.
There were a few issues that we experienced which are worth noting.
- During our last night while having dinner I was stung by a wasp. Security came and was very professional and treated the bite. However, the restaurant staff did not seem at all concerned about this. The waiter's only comment while I was in pain from the bite was "at least now you know you are not allergic to wasps". After that the waiter and restaurant manager were nowhere to be found. They did not check on us once (after security came by) to see if everything was good or if we needed anything. In fact I had to get up from our table to find someone to sign for my check before we could leave to go back to our room. That was very disappointing.
- While they offer free wi-fi, the connection is not secure at all. Furthermore, the connection was very unreliable and there was no signal in many parts of the hotel.
- The TV did screen cast as it was supposed to do. It took a lot of trial and error to get it to work.
- All the restaurants are outside. There was no inside place to sit and eat that had AC (except for your room).
- There are 3-4 restaurants but the food choices were not that great in my opinion.
I am not sure if I would go back to this resort again.

Wonderful stay. Our host Sebastian was amazing helping us optimize our short trip. We are at all the restaurants and they were tasty. Beautiful scenery and great main adults only pool right on the shoreline.
