Management was very poor. Had to wait for over an hour to check in. Also the room service and hotel maintenance was very poor. However the location of the hotel is good.

The suisse hotel is well located opposite the lake and close to the city center, while the property is old the toilets need revonation and upkeep.

Even though the property is an old building it has been well maintained and preserved. The location is optimal if you want to go to the mall or the tooth relic temple or walk around the lake. Definitely worth the cost.

They are worst. Rooms, food, reception all are more than worst. Quality of rooms are just terrible, food is very bad.

We have got very small room but on sharing with the staff, they offered good room on the next day

The hotel is colonial style as mentioned. However the moment you enter room it has a slight humid dew smell. Maybe because we got room which was not towards the garden or greenery instead we were given a room which on opening faced roof of the quarters attached. The buffet breakfast was mediocre and staff seemed disinterested in serving. But the highlight was the Ayurveda spa next to the swimming pool. Also the hotel is situated very close to the Kandy city center and the temple of tooth.

The hotel has an amazing old world feel with wide wooden corridors and beautifully built rooms with high ceilings. The location is also great. We close to eating places and the tooth relic temple.

Good hotel, good options in breakfast as well as dinner buffet. Courteous staff. They do not exchange Indian currency. They exchange other major currencies.

Heritage property in Kandy

The property is a famous one the City of Kandy. Well connected with public transport. Be careful when you book the room as there is some confusion in the room photos. I booked a room with a balcony called the superior room but was told that the photos are in incorrectly updated on the sites. Once this was highlighted to the front desk, they were prompt to be moving us to the room that was booked by us. The property manager was Kalpani and was extremely helpful and courteous and manges the property well.

Good location- opp the lake. Check-in took a good time inspite of we reaching around 3 pm. Rooms are good with required amenities. But the bathroom was small mainly the bath area which was very tiny- just 1.5 feet!! The buffet spread wasn't huge and tasted ok. Overall just enough for a day stay.
