We stayed here for 6 nights in the last week of november and i must say that it was an amazing stay. Location: location is very close to burjuman metro station, maybe a 10 minutes walk, but i will not recommend dragging your luggage because there are a lot of parking ins and outs on the way. Burjuman metro station has connections to both red & green metro line, though most of the sight-seeing places are on red metro line, so you will be taking that a lot if you are planning to use metro. This red line is heavily crowed at all hours, you will have to be terribly lucky to get a place to sit. At the metro station, take exit 3 (burjuman centre) and as you get out, start walking straight towards the burjuman mall. Its a straight walk to the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M square Hotel & Residences. When getting out of the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M square Hotel & Residences to go to metro station, there is a small gate from the lobby, on the left-hand side of reception from where you can walk straight to the metro station. The metro station on the other side adcb metro station is also not very far, though we never went there during our stay. Dubai international airport is not particularly far, so taxi is not too expensive. Checkin & checkout - check-in & check-out was fast and efficient and they even gave us an upgrade. A warm cookie was served at check-in and they warned us about if being with eggs. A deposit of 300 aed was taken, which was refunded before checkout for which a receipt was given. A plate of pasteries was also served on the day of our checkout during breakfast, and wishes for a 'happy journey, which was a lovely personal touch. Food: we had breakfast included in our package, and this is the best part especially if you are an indian or coming with elderly indian parents. There is a whole indian section served during breakfast with some 4-5 items that are completely indian items like idli, poha, vada, uttapam, misal pav, poori-bhaji etc. Are served. Along with this, there is a separate egg-counter that serves hot egg items. There is a pancake & waffle counter as well that makes hot waffles and pancakes. The breakfast selection is extensive and your regular stuff of fruit juices, cut-fruits, cornflakes, varieties of breads are all there. And if thats not enough, even in the international section, you can always find a vegetarain fried rice or veg noodles. The best part was finding a table during breakfast was never a struggle even though the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M square Hotel & Residences is huge. Breakfast is served at the spice tree, which also acts as a restaurant serving indian items during lunch and dinner, we did not try lunch or dinner there, but judging by what i have seen i guess it should be good. Burjuman mall: right next to the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M square Hotel & Residences and no your way to burjuman metro station, there is burjuman mall, which has a couple of decent brand names. But most importantly, it has a huge super-market, carrefour, from where you can buy your daily needs like milk, bread, bottled-water etc. There are a couple of indian restaurants as well, one being nalan which is all vegetarian, we did not eat here so will not comment on food. But we ate a lot of times at bombay chowpatty in the food court and we loved the taste, even the staff there is very friendly. Also the food court houses babaram (earlier known as haldiram) which was also good, and there was another south indian restaurant called shri krishna restaurant, so enough restaurants to try out. And while we are on the subject of eating, how can i forget cold stone creamery (must try flavour: peanut buuter cup, not in the food court but on the same level as you enter the mall from the metro station. Room: the room was clean, nicely-done and very spacious. Had a tea-coffee electric-kettle and huge french (floor-to-ceiling windows) windows. Three bottles of mineral water was provided for a double-bed room between the two of us which was very generous of them. There were enough lights and plug-points (carry your own travel-adapter, of course) in the room, the bed was nice and cozy. Lots of wardrobe space was provided along with enough place to keep your luggage. Even if your room does not offer a particularly great view, you can always walk to the end of the corridor on your floor to see the dubai skyline, all the way to the burj khalifa, with the dubai frame in the mid-distance. Bathroom: bathroom was also very clean and spacious. What i like the most was that a clothes line was provided to dry your small clothes. Ample towels were provided, along with slippers. The walk-in shower was huge and the water pressure was good. Toiletries were from crab-tree & evelyn. Staff: very helpful, professional, well-trained and courteous staff, so 10 out of 10 in customer-service. You can ask the bell-boy at the main entrance to get you a cream-and-red taxi and they can call one for you. We did that on our last day while returning from DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M square Hotel & Residences to airport. We even left the luggage with them when we reached early on our first day, well before check-in. They were kind enough to offer us a room within one hour of coming but instead we decided to explore the city. Hilton membership: by virtue of staying here, you automatically get a hilt-on membership, something to compare the prices if you are planning to stay in another hilt-on DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M square Hotel & Residences. Others: the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M square Hotel & Residences-lobby is nice, chic in design and fancy. Ample elevators, we never had to wait for an elevator for more than the few seconds. Wifi is strong and available everywhere. Hotel has two swimming pools, the one on mezzanine floor is okay, nothing to write home about. But the one on 19th floor is a must-visit, both during day and night but especially at night, even if you don't swim. It offers amazing almost 360 degree views of entire dubai along with burj khalifa & dubai frame. Do check the timings before paying a visit, i think it opens at 10 am in the morning. One minor point for improvement that can be considered is (and this is coming from my mom) try including some indian sweets in the breakfast like say kheer, or kesariya bhat (halwa) or something like that. That would be nice for elderly indian parents who are not so fond of dough-nuts, brownies, or walnut-bread etc. Wouldn't think twice before staying here again, and would highly recommend.
