This place is phenomenal. Highest possible recommendation.
The property is in an amazing location great view of the Mohawk River
Arrived to the property at night and was too scared to enter. Decided to spend the night else where. Owner refused to refund my money.

The interior of the house is very tastefully decorated and furnished with antiques throughout. Our stay at the Oakcliff Bed and Breakfast was like stepping back in time, while still keeping all the modern comforts.
John and Pam are excellent hosts. They made us feel very welcome.
Also, the views of the Mohawk River from behind the house are spectacular.

Tremendous historical property , good views and very nice owners
Our room was small with no end tables however overall a pleasant experience
My wife and I went to the Tug Boat Rally in Waterford. We took a chance at a bed and breakfast and pick Oakcliff. Great experience! House is a restored from the 1800's. Lots of history. John and Pam are great hosts, will give you a tour of their home and cook you a made to order breakfast. I will stay here again when I come up next year for the Rally.
This is a gorgeous historic home with a beautiful view of the Mohawk River. The host has been working on the home for 30 years, and he is a perfectionist. Every piece of furniture is an antique. (Not a place to take small children.) Breakfast was delicious, with great coffee. Not your typical B&B!

verified t.selfAug 10, 2019 5.0John and Jan are awesome hosts. I felt welcomed and cared for. John maintains an impressive collection of unique pieces of art and furniture. He also makes a delicious and generously-portioned morning meal. The coffee is, sincerely, the best coffee I’ve ever had (and I’m an old woman with a coffee obsession!) I recommend having a cup on the verandah overlooking Lake Mohawk. //swoon//

We highly recommend this place.
Exquisite furnishings, extremely clean, and a gracious host. Very memorable visit - wonderful view, delicous breakfast, too much to fully describe. Don't miss this gem- it's a place you'll talk about for years!
verified t.partnerJul 15, 2019 5.0It was a wonderful place - very calm and relaxing. John and Pam are excellent hosts catering to our every need - including making us a dinner reservation on the first night.
verified t.partnerJul 15, 2019 4.0John is very nice and wants to be sure your stay a good one. The home is beautiful and immaculate. I felt like I was staying in a museum as all the furniture and fixtures are period pieces. The breakfast was made to order and several options were given, served on china. We stayed in the first floor bedroom. The sheets were super soft. The bathroom was marble and towels were very soft too. The only thing not perfect was the bedroom, though very lovely is quite small with very little room for luggage.
The proprietor was very kind and accommodating, and quite proud of the restoration he had done at the historic Inn - but he was very uptight about not touching the antiques, not putting glasses down with out coasters, not putting bags on furniture, etc. It was a little uncomfortable to get comfortable!
verified t.partnerMar 17, 2019 5.0The house is amazing and the view of the Mohawk River is spectacular. I'm very fond of older homes and was also glad there was NO TV in the room---that would have spoiled the ambiance.
Our host John was extremely accommodating and served a wonderful breakfast ;-)
John was a wonderful host, the breakfast was delicious and the location was relaxing. The facilities were a bit old and needed some restoration but we were quite happy with the bedroom and private bathroom. Would stay here again.
Stayed here to attend concerts at the SPAC. The house is historic (Victorian) full of antiques and set on a quiet road with a water view off the beaten track. It is however near to several tourist sites. This is a B&B and although it has wi-fi does not offer in-room amenities such as coffee/tea or tv. Owner was not available at check in, but had called us to give instructions about arrival. The owner, John was very friendly, as was his friend Pam and gave useful info about sites/restaurants to visit. Breakfast was cooked to order, selection was made from a menu the previous evening. Times for breakfast were a little early (especially on Sunday), but that may be my preference.
