Amazing, location is the best
We loved our stay at La Maison dell’Orologio. The location is perfect, close to restaurants, Vatican City and other attractions. We even walked to the Colosseum, an easy walk of about 30 minutes. Michelle was super friendly and helpful, we were able to check in early and the tea, coffee and breakfast snacks were an added bonus. The room was clean and comfortable with a view of the street below. A big thank you to Michelle and others involved in organising the postage of an item we left behind to our next destination. Much appreciated!
We would definitely stay at La Maison dell’Orologio again if we return to Rome.
We absolutely loved staying at this guest house, which was renovated from the 1400s. It had many antiques and historic features all modernized for the convenience of the guest. The breakfast was continental but included pastries, yogurt and wonderful espresso maker. The location was nearby and accessible to all tourist sites as needed, it was on a charming narrow cobblestone Street however we did not have to walk very far with our luggage. We can’t say enough about how much we loved this place. It was spacious enough for the three of us. My husband included and my 24-year-old son we were there for a destination wedding very comfortable Linens and spacious amenities as needed. We would love to stay there again, Rome.
Perfect Choice for Rome Vacation
Nice small hotel with 6 rooms. Comfortable, free breakfast items and within 30 minutes walking to every attraction. Note there is no fridge, microwave, or after hours staff.

It’s definitely different…
This is not like other hotels. It’s easy to miss the location from the street because there’s basically no sign indicating that you are at the “hotel.” It really is more of a guest house so no lobby, front desk, or hotel amenities. You have to be okay with a more independent-type stay. The room was clean but sparse. We'd often find small fruit flies in our room. However, the location was superb and we walked everywhere.
A perfect spot in busy Rome. Michelle made everything easy. She helped us with our travel plans. We enjoyed our stay. Great air conditioning in hot July. Coffee and water always available was a great plus.
Great location for a great price
The location of this place was perfect. We were just steps from Castel Sant'Angelo. The staff was very welcoming and the room was great. We couldn't ask for more in a place to stay close to everything.

Coffee and goodies were available by the front desk and the lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful. We could walk to several charming little restaurants and found it a convenient location.

Positives like the Location…and Michelle who works there was very very helpful and sweet and the owner was very nice. The negative for us was the expectation that the room was pretty and it wasn’t. The bathroom was really nice and re done but the room looked like a dorm room and it was done very cheaply. The room was depressing. I don’t like to give a negative review , but I really want others to know what to expect. For students , it might be just fine. But we’re in our 60’s and 70’s and I wanted to be in a pretty place. The photos in line , to me were deceiving..There is no tv with cable as originally advertised.. all channels in Italian. It just didn’t suit us..

Friendly manager. I also like the proximity to the attractions as well as dining options. I felt very safe in this hotel, two doors to pass to get in the building and another one to get in the hotel.
Breakfast was nothing special but enough to get your morning starting.
We recently stayed here for my husband's birthday celebrations. The location of the hotel was perfect, we could walk to all the tourist sights, there were fabulous restaurants and shops around every corner. The room was clean and spacious and the staff were really helpful, they even gave us a bottle of red for my husband and a chocolate rabbit for my daughter, we stayed just after Easter. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you wanted to be slightly out of the hustle and bustle, near great local cafés and restaurants but within 10/15 minutes walk of the main attractions.

Wonderful, friendly, and helpful staff. Excellent communication. Spacious room. Perfect location. All in all, it was a very nice stay. With Easter being just a few days after our stay, our young daughter was even give a chocolate rabbit as we left, which made her so happy! We would gladly stay again.
