patsian.familyNov 29, 2024 Cozy cabin, we booked a 6 sleeper and the kitchenette was a godsend. Communal kitchen well equipped. Do double check for large parties that you have beddings for everyone. There are not so many power outlets in the cabin though, go to the communal kitchen if you have a lot of equipment to charge.

Basin tap hot and cold was separate so need to mix the water manually, this can improved.
It’s located in middle of all glaciers, very convenient to visit the most pristine glacier around it.
Very quiet space in a tiny town, close to nature and great views.
Only downside was the wifi was weak in our cabin but it's a good way to disconnect for a while.

Overall I enjoyed my stay, the location made up for most of it and the cute lodge vibes were nice, the only down side is that we didn’t get the room we originally booked because of renovations which they only told us a day before but we got a small discount, our new room was still nice but no outdoor bath, they still let us use the outdoor bath but a warning would be nice that anyone can see you in the bath as it is kinda near the main road so be prepared, it also would of been a good heads up that there is little to no food within an hour, found out the next day there is a small pub but weren’t aware so we just ate 2 minute noodles. Could have been a little cleaner but otherwise it was a nice stay. Thanks.

The Lodge is in a beautiful location. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, though simple. The shared cooking facilities were less inviting but provided adequate equipment.
Desperate need of a make over. Dinning expensive and limited no bar available.
It was a good place to stop over as we were driving from Franz Josef to Queenstown. The room did not have wifi. We have to go to the reception or another location to get wifi which is not so convenient. And beware as there
were a lot of bees flying around. My friend was stung on his foot when he wore his shoe.
Love the comfortable cabin in the middle of nowhere. All you need for a night, except wifi.
christi.familyApr 05, 2024 Check in wasn't as friendly of an experience as I would have hoped. I'm in the middle of nowhere and have never stayed there before. I kind of felt like I was wasting their time a bit, but the restaurant staff were amazing! Other than that, we absolutely loved the stay and will book again if down this way.

Studio #2 with tubs outside
I loved studio #2 because of the double tubs. It was lovely to take a bath and star gaze. It was what I expected. The bed was super comfortable and having robes was truly amazing.
