We had an amazing stay with such an inviting host. The house was cosy and easy to get in and out of any time of day. Sleeping here was extremely comfortable and we never had to wait to use shared bathrooms even when the house was full. The town is located within walking distance (40 mins) but there is a regular bus which was affordable and easy to use (<10 mins journey). Our stay was made complete by the warm and welcoming host who picked us up from the airport, and even took us on a tour of the local area when we had some time left before our flight. His calm and caring attitude put us completely at ease for the entirety of our stay. We will definitely be staying again!

This was our only home stay during this trip and it was perfect. The host was helpful and a good area guide. The area is a quiet neighbouhood with a small town feel and still had all needed convenience in walking distance. We had never gone south from Oslo, but so glad we did! This was our best night’s sleep as well on the whole trip and it led to a whole new Norway to discover the next day.

A lucky find for our pre flight stay! The host was exceptionally generous, giving us a free room just because he had one spare…also sharing his homemade craft beer. The shared bathroom was spotless throughout and both room(s) and bathroom offered amenities well above what was described.

En særdeles koselig og hyggelig vert i Asle Skarpengland er verdt oppholdet i seg sjøl! Det blir mye mer personlig enn vanlige hoteller. Anbefales på det varmeste til alle som ønsker en litt annerledes hotellferie!

Utrolig hjertevarmt og hjemmekoselig, en opplevelse og oppvartning man ikke forventer. Dette er en unik mulighet for sosialt samvær om man ønsker det. I fellesstue spilles det chill musikk, og alle blir invitert til fellesskapet, før roen senker seg kl 22. Har bodd her 2 ganger, og møtt unike folk fra flere land- og kommer garantert tilbake.
