Picked this hotel for the prominence of location. Wasn't disappointed. Pictures shown are fairly accurate.

Very bad location

Location is so far. Rooms are old styles. Not liked overall. Toilet are old styles. Not good experience. Other rooms were using some for wedding purpose. So not like very small area like one small building.

Bad experience

Experience was very bad. The room was very small. Actual attire of hotel was very poor as compare to the pictures shown on makemytrip. Housekeeping was very bad. No housekeeping people came to clean room for two days. I asked three times to clean the room but the housekeeping came after calling fourth time and intercom was not working so I had to go four times to ground floor to ask the manager to send housekeeping to clean room. Doors were not safe as one door was opening directly in gallery.

Good Budget Hotel

It's a good budget hotel with average quality rooms and if you are looking for no frills type, you can for it. Service is friendly, good hotels around to have food outside specially behind the beach road. Hotel is well connected, can take tuk or auto or taxi whatever name you feel comfortable to take a ride into the Colombo city.

Hotels photo's shown online are not the same

I regularly do my meetings in foreign countries like China, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia and sri lanka. But this incidence never happen with me. Hotels photo shown online and the real hotel are totally different. The hotel looks like a loading and boarding. Sorry to say that as brand makemytrip should not do such a big mistake. So I cancelled my bookings and booked in Galadari (Colombo). I have attached Omega Regency hotel pictures which are taken from my Mobile for your reference.

Friendly staff, large comfy room

We only stayed here for one night as we travelled through Colombo, but we had a pleasant stay. The room was large and comfy and the staff were really helpful. We had to leave at 5am and they provided us with a takeaway breakfast and helped us get transport to the train station.

Property seen on the photo is different from the original

Photo is miss leading and different for the original no pool its only 1 star hotel. And the room service is poor and price is high for such a hotel. Colombo airport to the hotel is too far for the city traffic. It will take approx 2 and half hour to reach there. For people visiting for 2 days better to book a hotel in Colombo city area

Hotel is value for money

Hotel situated from airport approximately 15 minutes drive. Hotel room is clean and neat. Staff is good and supportive. Food is really tasty. As I am north Indian, so the taste is purely Punjabi in south. Value for money.

Budget hotel for this price is good

Hotel is located at wellawatte. You will get Indian food near your area. Hotel staff is very good. In hotel the Indian food is not available but vegetarian available. Nice taste. It's near beach area. Overall good stay.

Horrible hotel

We have booked the hotel and paid prior to our stay through makemytrip looking at the pics etc. On makemytrip but we were so tired with it's location and also the behaviour of the manager at the hotel. He was so adamant in saying that the pics uploaded by makemytrip were wrong and the hotel is not tied up with the website. We were left stranded with no place to stay for few hours and asked us to move out of the place though we had paid online prior. Kindly request makemytrip to refund back our amount and also delete omega regency from your hotels listing as it's a disappointment for travellers looking and falling for the pic. Also, the manager did not know what he was talking and was so disrespectful to the guests.
