Trains passing right through the hotel 24/7, noise levels are extremely high, so beware. Swimming pool made my 2 children fall sick on first day. You have to walk over an unsafe railway line to reach the beach. Rooms are old and not maintained. Electric sockets missing, so you can't charge your phones etc. No WiFi in rooms. No phones to reach reception. Reception closes at 10.30. Uber eats and Uber helped us survive. Will never recommend, will never go back, wasted holiday.

Worst hotel during my 6 days travel

Worst stay during my 6 days travel. Bathrooms are too small. Room stinks. No proper water flow. Took 30min to have a normal shower. Hardware in the bathroom is poor and makes you feel disgusting. Took a room with breakfast yet food variety for breakfast was fixed and anything extra was being charged.

The stay overall is ok. In shower water pressure is less. Wifi is good. And the main thing of this Resort is this is next to sunset Beach. You can have morning walk on Beach.

Worst experience as travelers, I won't suggest this hotel to anyone. Website photos are good but on the reality don't expect it is far away from the city. I won't refer to any one regarding this hotel very bad experience air conditioning is not working properly.

It is located right next to the beach. The room looked a bit old but it was clean. Water only drips from the shower. But if you are looking for a low cost place right next to the beach then this is a decent place. The breakfast was good. The staff are friendly. You get WiFi only at the lobby

Great room and service. Excellent location. Close to eating joints and shopping market. Easy access to beach and bars along the beach. Good public transport and frequent rail services. Cheap and easy travel. Nice place to stay.

Convenient location

Nice hotel just located in stone throw distance from beach .. Initially given room was having issues then changed to another room which was OK. Had good stay for 3 nights. As the hotel is convenient to reach Colombo, beach etc, it was very comfortable for sight seeing. Staff are good and helpful. Most of them can speak Tamil also.

Not a budget hotel

The rooms are very old. The service is not so good. Even the morning breakfast is not so good. If you are going for a business trip then please don't go for this hotel, it's very interior. Only the beach is a plus point.

WiFi, Food & Noise

The WiFi is available only in the lobby area. Not much options in the breakfast for Indian vegterian people. Adjacent to railway track is very big problem. Towels are very old and there is not sheet / blanket in non A. C rooms. Staff's behaviour is good.

They must improve more by giving more friendly and good service. And help to reach from airport to hotel by giving proper guidance to the tourist instead they are little unfriendly, which is bad as we are outsiders and need help from the hotel management to arrive at the hotel.

Located next to beach

I reached around midnight and there was a total confusion about my reservation as the manager was asleep and not willing to come out. There was no option for anything except eggs in breakfast. Only good thing about it is that it's located next to the beach.

It was very good stay there in Ranveli Beach resort. Near to beach is the best part of the Ranveli & the service they offer is very good. If you love to stay near nature with the fresh breeze & waves sound than it is the best place for you to stay. All the staff is very good & always ready to help you with great smile. Really, I love this place & will come back again.
