Majestic thai style resort

Majestic property with a traditional thai style vibe. Room had a great sea view and the room ambiance was fantastic special mention about the bath robes ) the pool area was superb and the sea side restaurant and bar were perfect for our evening cocktails and quick grabs. Staff though helpful is a bit slow in service as they do not speak much english. The location is a bit far from the main beach areas of the full moon party so it's better to either rent a scooter or car. There is a small market place nearby with good places to eat, take long massages. Overall a good experience. Breakfast though good is a bit boring as they serve almost the same variety everyday so having the same spread across 3 days was a bot monotonous. Our check out experience was a bit disappointing as the staff took about an hour to settle our cheque.

Poor hospitality with a hint of discrimination towards indian travellers

Extremely poor hospitality. My room was changed and i was moved to a lower category without being compensated. (this was the resort’s fault as the room allotted had insect infestation and the pool was extremely dirty. On the day of check-out, i had requested to check-out by 1 pm (their standard time is 11:30 am) despite the property not being sold out (it is low season in thailand) i was told that i would have to pay for the extra 90 mins! this is absolutely bizzare. Coming to the food, on the day of check-in i had informed them that i am vegetarian, despite this i was not catered for and had to eat out. (my room rate was inclusive of breakfast) i would not recommend this place!

Perfect staycation destination

Resort was nice, though the room service wasn't top notch. But the private beach, pool and ambience covered up for it. Location is a bit constraint as every other destination is at least half an hour away.

Memorable stay at the beautiful Santhiya

We stayed here for 2 nights 3 days and had a wonderful time. The check-in process was quick and smooth. We were offered a refreshing drink, a warm napkin and then taken to our immaculate room with gorgeous views of the mountains and the beach. Staff always greeted us with a warm smile, provided detailed information and help whenever needed. The property itself is gorgeous, access to beach is easy with an option to go over to the adjacent beach outside the property and profanity nearby if you wish to explore and eat elsewhere. Santhiya has 3 restaurants to choose from, all offering great food, with the breakfast buffet being the highlight. Live music played while we ate elevated the entire experience. 10/10, highly recommended.

A stay with the ants

If you hate ants, mosquitoes and insects, don't go to Santhiya. Their bathroom is outdoor and if you want to probably be in the night, be prepared to be with the mosquitoes. The service was good, however everything that is outdoor is unusable, example the bathtub which is also full of ants. I understand we are in middle of a jungle but some level of preparation needs to be done considering we are staying in a five-star hotel.

My Best Experience

Everything is perfect. The rooms are amazing. The service is flawless. The staff is polite. It's a little expensive but I'd pay that much extra for the experience. Private 5 star! They have private taxis which you must take and ignore the local taxi. It's a minor difference in cost. Also, Don't forget to ask for the services provided by them, it's a huge list that would not make you leave the place at all. Welcome drink, Cold Towel was the perfect start. I'd stay here everytime I'm on the island.
