Overall the property is good, however, phone network is an issue. The wifi isn't great and it is difficult to make or receive calls. Staff is helpful though.

Lovely stay for our wedding anniversay booked bed breakfast and evening meal package with Expedia, arrived to fresh cookies in the room had a lovely view over the garden, food was amazing prawn starter was definitely the star of the show.
Chilled in the bar with cocktails after and chatted to a couple who were also celebrating their anniversay over some champagne.
Breakfast was plentiful with a great selection.
Our room was spacious and clean.
Staff were helpful and engaging, shout out to Luke whom nothing to much trouble for. Thank you for a great stay.

jacky.partnerOct 06, 2024 Wonderful old property in an excellent location just off the M4 near many places of interest. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. The accommodation was lovely and warm with a roaring fire in reception in chilly weather and our room was very clean and comfortable with en-suite shower and constant hot water. No noise at all at night was an added bonus.
Our only criticism would be that the waiting time at breakfast was rather long but the food was always hot and beautifully prepared. A suggestion for availability of snacks at lunchtime might be worth considering also but we really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely return if in the area again.

Characterful and convenient, just off the M4.
We had a lovely room (particularly liked the bathroom configuration) no 9.
Noise from the motorway is only intrusive if you are not expecting it.
Suited our needs perfectly.
This hotel has a serious problem about getting the 'phone Network and wifi. As I work with US market and other regions in the evening it's quite challenging.
The staff at the reception were quite helpful though and provided me with hotel staff network password which at least helped me connect wifi.

The hotel was on a good deal. As a gold member on a quiet, booking wise day, i would have expected a free upgrade. Instead, with a hotel of free rooms we were given the smalest room possible, an ensuite not touched since the 1990's with a shower so small, i went back home instead! The doubleglazing had so much internal condendation you couldn't see out. It is easy to get return customers, just some thoughtfulness, and its easy to not only lose them, but also to have the message spread that hospitality is just not your thing, uour just a wedding venue!

Lovely location and excellent rooms and service. The evening meal and breakfast were both very good and service was quick and efficient. Excellent for a business stay and a convenient location.
