The value for the money is not good. Photos make it look better than it is. Cleaning staff is very rude and bed space is small, if you are tall you will not feet.
Ok. It was a pretty loud hostel. Im glad i brought my white noise machine! Windows are open, so be prepared for LOTS of mosquitos.

Fun hostel to stay at while still being in a private room. Bed was extremely comfortable. Water in the shower was lukewarm at best most times. My only real complaint is that my room was on the 6th floor and the elevator only went up to floor 4 so I had to lug a 50lb bag up 2 flights of extremely narrow stairs with no assistance.
Let's start with the pros. The location of this property is great -- very close to the beach in a safe neighborhood surrounded by great bars and restaurants. The hostel was clean, with a great happy hour, and the breakfast was very good (though located down the street at their sister hostel). That being said, the photos of the rooms are misleading -- being a lot smaller than pictured. It should also be noted that the staff is not very experienced and didn't really know the area, having many recommendations for where to go, eat, etc. English is also not widely spoken amongst the staff which made it challenging to communicate at times. We encountered one very helpful staff member (thank you, Barbara!) but otherwise, we didn't find the staff very helpful. We even missed out on a tour we wanted to participate in because the staff took too long to provide our names to the operator and we lost our spot. There is also no good "hang out place" within the hostel and what is there, is not very warm and inviting. So, you'll be limited to hanging out inside your room or outside of the hostel for the most part. If you're simply looking for a bed to sleep in, in a good area of the city, it's a great option. If you're looking for a good standard hostel experience, I'd stay elsewhere.
There is no real management behind this place. Their pictures are renderings. Once you arrive you will find a construction site. They will walk in your room as many times as needed without your knowledge, if they perform construction work they will leave the dirt behind and that's how you will realize. They sap my entire bed on me. AC units are off early in the morning until late at night regardless of what price or room you paid for. Front desk staff is really friendly but they are as lost as you as far as finding missing keys, AC, water heater, etc. Location is not as great either.It is very noisy and there is no insulation between walls so you will hear everything inside and outside 24/7. Some of my stuff went missing, there was no room service ever even though they did not stop doing construction inside my room. You could pay me to stay there again and I will kindly reject it. Just get another place where there is a system of check and balances. This property is a free for all. The Argentinian lady managing this is a liar and a scammer.
The hostel appear on the website as new. It is not. They had renovation works going on at the peak of time (carnival), all day long.
I paid for breakfast and was told it was not included, that I had to pay 20 Reais to then be told a few days later that breakfast was free during carnival (scam! I paid for it and was not reimbursed).
The rooms are not comfortable. The doors are all wanky. If you want a towel or a blanket or a lock you have to pay.
You have to make your bed at the start and remove your bedsheets at the end. I paid 100+ dollars per night for a bed in a 6-bed dorm and this level of service… shocking.
O hostel é ok, mas a limpeza do quarto deixou a desejar. O chão não foi limpo durante os quase 5 dias em que estive lá.
O tratamento dos funcionários bem diretos, não havia interação com os hóspedes. As atividades que deveriam ser conjuntas acabavam ficando cada um por si. Achei bem ok mas não voltaria.
Minha experiência nesse hostel foi incrível! Desde o primeiro momento, o Alifer garantiu que eu me sentisse em casa com sua atenção e disposição para ajudar. O ambiente é perfeito para quem viaja sozinho, com muitas oportunidades para conhecer pessoas e aproveitar ao máximo. E a caipirinha do Cristian? Sensacional, além de ele ser um fofo.

Gostei muito do Hostel, mas pelo valor acho que seria viável ser incluso o café da manhã, porque lá é pago a parte. Na data que fiquei o elevador estava reformando e tivemos que usar a escada mas nada que atrapalhou muito. Atendentes super simpáticos a gerente do lugar é super animada. Gostei bastante só poderiam incluir o café da manhã mesmo
Fiquei hospedada no More Ipanema Hostel do dia 30 de agosto até o dia 4 de setembro, e minha experiência foi maravilhosa! O local em si é muito bom, bem localizado e confortável, mas o que realmente tornou minha estadia especial foi a funcionária Maiara. Ela foi impecável no atendimento, sempre muito atenciosa, me ajudando com tudo que eu precisava. Seus cuidados fizeram meus dias no hostel serem muito melhores. Não tenho palavras para agradecer todo o apoio e gentileza dela, foi sem dúvida o ponto alto da minha estadia. Maiara merece todos os elogios possíveis e tudo de melhor. O hostel é excelente, mas ela fez com que fosse mil vezes melhor. Recomendo demais!

Atendimento incrivel, com certeza o melhor hostel do rio de janeiro, com várias atividades gratuitas, caipirinhas grátis, dj e muito mais. O evento do barco é maravilhoso, open bar vale muito a pena. É a segunda vez que fui a esse hostel e com certeza voltarei mais 1000 vezes . ❤️❤️❤️

Excelente custo benefício, só não vou avaliar tudo com 5 estrelas,.porque o quarto que fiquei o chuveiro estava ruim e entupiu informei na recepção logo quando cheguei e nada foi feito para sanar o problema, depois fui para outro quarto que estava tudo ok.
Mas de modo geral vale a pena.
Foi muito boa, mas recomendo ficar nos andares superiores pois a entrada é sempre movimentada eles tem dj e música na recepção, então como fiquei no 1 andar no quarto 12, ouvia tudo! Foram isso muito bom e ótima localização!
Estive alguns dias lá e gostei muito da equipe. São atenciosos. A limpeza não é perfeita, mas nada que não possa ser melhorado. Meu quarto com 6 camas era um quarto bem estreito e o travesseiro muito fino. Do restante, muito bem localizado, perto de tudo mais necessário. Voltaria pra lá numa boa.

Começou por nos colocarem em um quanto que não foi o que reservamos, depois queria ficar com nossas malas na recepção para ver se iriam liberar o quarto que deveríamos ter ficado desde o começo, a partir do 4º andar só de escada, impressão que dava é que o hostel estava em reforma, portas e coisas de obras jogadas pelos cantos, o quarto que ficamos não era nem parecido com o do anúncio, café da manhã era em outro hostel vizinho, abria a torneira da pia e já podia lavar os pés pois escorria água por baixo, janela imunda, com restos de obra, mas nem tudo é horrível, apesar de tudo os atendes são legais e o suco de laranja é ótimo, localização também é boa. Sinceramente… tem lugares que entregam bem mais pelo mesmo valor. Falta lá uma boa gerência, pois tudo que reclamei é fácil de resolver.
Atendimento frio, quarto e andares sujos, vassouras e utensílios de limpeza espalhados pelos corredores, para os que se hospedam no quinto e sexto andares, o acesso é por uma escadinha bem estreita, parece o caminho de um porão! A diária encerra às 11h, algo pouco usual. Café da manhã completamente ruim, mesmo para um hostel. O único ponto positivo é a localização!
