There were a few hiccups with water leaking from the refrigerator and the AC tripping; however, the staff was responsive and fixed all issues. The grounds were amazing! The owner has put his heart and artistry throughout and made the area stunning!!

We LOVED our time at Brisas. The grounds are stunning--just sitting and taking it all in is an excellent passtime on its own! The accommodations are very thoughtful, 'rustic comfort' (best A/C we had in CR, ironically, given we also stayed at resorts twive the price and half as lovely!), And the staff are wonderful. Exceptional breakfast (all delicious but the French toast is incredible), and the owner was so thoughtful, taking time to chat every day at breakfast. And to top it all off are the adorable property 'mascotys--several dogs (Molly and Roxy were our faves--Molly would even wait for us outside our door in the morning!)--not to mention Matilde the tame wild parrot! Can't recommend this beautiful, family run property it highly enough.

We stayed in cabin C5 and the room is spacious and clean. We did have 3 issues (1) the very firm bed which felt like we were sleeping on the spring box and not a mattress; (2) the bathroom door creaked so loudly that we were certain it woke up all our neighbors and the animals outside when we used the bathroom at night and (3) the shower water never got hot, just warm. If you don't mind any of these then the place is fine and a good value for the money.
Beautiful gardens and view of arenal volcano. Loved the hiking path on the property (about a 30min. Walk to complete the trail). Nice breakfast area with view of bird bath that attracts many different kinds of birds. Breakfast was not included in our stay, so we only had breakfast on site once.
A major disappointment. No staff, no service. Reception amounts to handing over the key and off you go unescorted down the hill to your accommodation. Room was not bad, reasonably comfortable and furnished but lacked hot water. Cable television never worked during our three night stay.. No bar or food available during the day. Small restaurant with one worker to do everything. Fortunately he was a very good cook and pleasant waiter. but we never stayed around to see how he handled the dish washing. We had an excellent meal in an empty restaurant. We were the only people there that night, and wanted to return the next night, a week night, to save us driving into town, only to be informed that the restaurant would be closed. In short if you are only looking for a dry and clean room to hang your head this place works. As a resort hotel it falls very short. There must be better places to be found in the area for the same price.

The grounds are very clean and well kept with lots of birds, flowers, puppies, and a beautiful view. The room was very clean, staff were friendly and breakfast was fantastic! Highly recommend and would stay here again!
chelesty.partnerDec 30, 2023 We stayed there for one night. The room was nice and clean. The area is nice. The staff is very friendly. We dined at the restaurant “yellow tree” inside the hotel properties, we loved the food! It was tasty, well presented and the chef was friendly too.

This was a little gem! One of our favourite stays for a fun natural stay. Fall asleep to the animals in the rainforest. Hear the rain fall. Customer service was second to none. Exceptional care of those staying here. Restaurant was awesome, too. Just a great place overall!

In a quiet part of la Fortuna, I’m on the hill. Beautiful garden surrounding the cabanas, full of birds. Nice room with 6 beds, perfect for our family. Water a bit wonky and cloudy out of the tap. We never saw the owner checking in or anyone at all checking out. I would definitely stay there again
