Thaala Bentota

Actually i stayed in taj two days then i want to extend my stay for two days in bentota but intaj rooms are full. So i booked the rooms in thaala. I really didn't expect these luxury. Nearby beach rooms are facing beach nearby taj property but one third of rent three times of food compare with taj. Particularly sanjana do good job. Our rooms allotted in first floor my mother in law 75 years old unable to walk every time so we request sanjana mam immediately she react and change to ground floor with smiling face and upgrade the rooms also. If you visit bentota don't miss thaala

Avani is very well located bang on the beach. Rooms in the main block have a nice view and the beach can be accessed within two minutes from the room. Staff was polite and eager to help. Srilankan food was the highlight.
Great view from the room. A bit of privacy issue as rooms were on the ground floor and the curtains could not be kept open to absorb the view. Would suggest putting locks on the garden side doors also. Even though very little vegetarian dishes were there, the food was great and very tasty.

Great location with the beach literally 20 steps away. Rooms are big and comfortable but not great. The balcony is nice and tend to face the pool and beach. You can sit there for ages reading a book, having a beer and listening to the waves. Food was okay, they tend to have to cater to a lot of guests from erode, India and middle east, so ends up being a bit of everything from different cuisines. Note to fellow travelers, Sri Lankan rum at the resort is excellent and half the price of say Bacardi.

You will fall in love with this property the moment you find access to their beach. The beach is so clean and is among the best I found in Srilanka. The property serves brilliant food, drinks, and even sheesha/hookah. The room was set up beautifully with flower petals on the blanket. The view from all the rooms is good. The balcony has a pool view. I loved the stay. I would definitely stay again in this property and would recommend it highly if you are in Bentota.

Nice relaxed stay right on the beach. Thoughtfully done access to the lawn and beach from the rooms on the ground floor. Could do more on the facilities to keep kids occupied but the big pool & beach more than compensates. Room service for quick snacks was reasonably priced.

Food could have been better. They served same cuisine for 4 days. The bed cover was torn and there was smell emitting from the bathrooms. Having said so, the location was superb and the service was good. I spent 4 days practically doing nothing but still enjoyed it.

Excellent relaxing stay. Clean rooms, nice pools, access to beach and well maintained property. Service, hospitality and spa was great. Only opportunity area is increasing menu options and food was okay (not wow. But lot of good restaurants in the vicinity.

Beautiful green property, helpful and smiling staff, great location, very spacious room with garden and pool view, very clean rooms and washrooms, right across the beach. Buffet was wide and delicious. We had a wonderful time and a comfortable stay.

Great Thaala Bentota right on the beachside of Bentota. The facilities are a bit aged, however the property still has a calm and relaxed feeling about it. Every room gets its own balcony facing the seaside. Great place to just unwind and relax

After a cross country 9 day tour of central and South West Sri Lanka this was a great place for unwinding. Great facilities and superior location. The guest rooms have a slightly worn out look and feel and an upgrade here would be perfect.

Excellent pleasant stay for 2 days here with clean large deluxe rooms with all amenities, large 2 pools, multiple restaurants, private beach, good breakfast - english, srilankan & indian.

The experience was great. Hospitality is outstanding. The location, interiors everything was superb. Would love to visit again

It is close to nature ,......I found 3 Geiko in the room and then....... they changed my room. Not enough options in buffet for pure vegetarian people like me. it have a private beach 🏖️ too. 2 big swimming pools.

We stayed in avani, now thaala bentota. A good Thaala Bentota for beach lovers, and the food is great for nonvegetarians, vegetarian specially indian vegetarian have very less option of food. Service is good. Value for money.

Good vibes! had a nice and comfortable stay with family at the property. Highlight of the stay was beach side location of the property. Staff was courteous too.
