Cinnamon Grand Hotel

Dinner buffet/food is average for Indian travelers. however, breakfast has plenty of verity. You can not expect front desk staff to be very welcoming like any other 5 star Cinnamon Grand Hotel as this Cinnamon Grand Hotel is flooded with foreigners. They don't bother the guest, they don't carry the luggage to the room and explain the facilities available at this Cinnamon Grand Hotel like any other 5 star Cinnamon Grand Hotel staff. This will be irritating for few. Don't get disappointed after checking in, it bis due to the fact that they are getting plenty of tourists. Overall Cinnamon Grand Hotel cleanness and location is very good. Don't prefer tuk tuk auto. there are plenty of buses available in front of the Cinnamon Grand Hotel.

We were 3 families who stayed for 2 nights. Location was excellent, breakfast spread excellent, service was excellent. Only issue was them giving twin beds instead of king size beds as per our booking. The Cinnamon Grand Hotel. Was beautifully decorated for Christmas and new year. However the major disappointment was the music played for the new year pool party programme. Handing out sparkles to everyone to light at midnight was quite dangerous, it could have led to a potentially disastrous situation. Overall I would say it is a Cinnamon Grand Hotel we will definitely stay in again.
Our booking was for king size bed we were allotted twin beds. Not enough electrical sockets for charging devices.

I had booked the Cinnamon Grand for my Fiance's surprise 30th birthday. I am glad I did, it's simply amazing. Beautiful Cinnamon Grand Hotel with great amenities and restaurant options. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay with only two issues. 3. I had informed the butler it was my fiance's 30th and to arrange a birthday cake when we checked in, to which we had nothing and was very disappointed. 2. Our room had a very bad sewage smell coming back from the drains on the executive floor. Only after I had mentioned it did they try and resolve it. I would have expected that it be fixed with the need for me to report it by the cleaners.

I had the short stay of few hours at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, and except for few troubles my starly was good at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel.
I had to fight for a king bed room, rather than individual beds. Also, on asking for an upgrade, the king bed room got available out of nowhere. The room had a foul smell on entering into, which didn't get rectified. Also, the room's lock had got spoiled due to which me and my wife had got locked out of the room for almost 30 minutes.

Have stayed here quite a few times, location is great, the shopping mall with food court besides it helps too. Their is an Indian restaurant inside the Cinnamon Grand Hotel too which helps. Staying here go for a morning walk if weather permits. Large lobby with live piano music playing in the evening sounds looks good. The washroom doesn’t have a jet if it matters. Overall a pleasant stay.

THEY HAVE CANCELLED MY ROOM EVEN THOUGH I HAVE SENT MAIL REG MY LATE CHECK-IN. I ALSO RECEIVED AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FROM THEIR STAFF. I WAS ASKED TO CHECK IN TO ANOTHER PROPERTY AT 3. 10AM. I fought with them and insisted to give room there. After my perseverance they upgraded to a SUITE. This is the reason for 4 star otherwise it is a lovely place and can be a 7 star ...

Many varieties in food, amazing breakfast spread at The Courtyard. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Location was fantastic with sea on one side and lake on one side, also a mall was attached to the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, add to that number of great bars and the beach nearby. Excellent Cinnamon Grand Hotel to put up at, a great experience all in all.

Hotel excellent we enjoyed a lot. Feel happy. Hotel hospitality and servants service is good. Room dininig also good this my second time stay in this Cinnamon Grand Hotel for make my trip given 60% offer very cheep. Hotel people little confusion with billing they charged full amount. I showed payment than they reduced otherwisei have to loose $59

Nothing extraordinary at that price.
Rooms were good, but I would have been better to book the normal room instead of suite. Suite wasn't a different feeling than the normal. Also the complimentary wine mentioned in the package- I had call several times in every half an hour interval to remind, and got delivered any 2 and half hours.

Hotel guys even after agreeing on early check-in had made us waiting despite of room available with them just to get few thousands extra for a hour. Pool cleanliness was also very poor and it had taken us half hour to wait for towels. Finally, we shifted to Taj Samudra who was much better and at a lower price.

The best Cinnamon Grand Hotel of my life. We went there to celebrate my daughter's second birthday and we are awestruck. Ask for Nalinda - for housekeeping and Sammantha - for any help(baggage claim). Dhammika - Nuga Gama manager to experience awesomeness while you stay at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel.

Rooms are fabulous worth every penny we paid. But the bathrooms are horrible. Still the 1970sss. Need to be upgraded or else not worth staying there. The showers are obsolete still the old ones in the tub area and rusted. This Cinnamon Grand Hotel needs immediate renovation atleast the wash area.

It's a decent Cinnamon Grand Hotel, clean rooms good service ... You also get free transport to any of the 3 casinos in Colombo. Only issue was that the WiFi would disconnect regularly and when it worked the speeds were super slow. Not worth the money.

Comfortable locality Easy to go into the centre of the city Professional staff Room service was very good Only a small issues is my light lamp was not working properly ... Apart from that stay was up to the expectation.

The Cinnamon Grand Hotel is situated in one of the most prime locations and it has all the amenities in house best food as well.

Cinnamon is a lovely property; at the heart of the business district. The rooms are spacious, however the old wing is a bit dark. Hotel staff are great, they’ll make sure they go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. Sri Lankan hospitality at its best. Good luck.

It was a wonderful stay at Cinnamon Grand Hotel, food was good, room was clean. Room service was precise. They have to work on taxi service for airport pickup. Rest is good.

There are very gold locations, staff also to good and helpful. For breakfast have good option for both vegetarian and nonvegetarian, nearby town and also very near by beach also, there are two options for Gym and Pool. Taxi is quite expensive.
