Cinnamon Red Colombo

I rarely stay in a Cinnamon Red Colombo on trips to Colombo. For some reason I had to this time. Then came the upheavals in April and I had to re-book. Through MMT’s help (though delayed) I got my cancellation money back. Having said that there were still worries about the Cinnamon Red Colombo - arriving late night, and also a request for late check out. No problems with the former. But they couldn’t give me a late check out - had to pay for an extended stay (8hrs) but as I said in the title it was worth it. Coming to the Cinnamon Red Colombo itself - everything was great. Superb, clean room. Neat design and therefore ambience. Friendly staff at the entrance, reception, gym and roof-top restaurant. Can’t believe I had all my optional meals at the same place – Red Colombo. Definitely recommended.

Ideally located, this Cinnamon Red Colombo offers very clean, functional rooms with hospitable staff and good breakfast. The roof top bar/gym/infinity pool are a delight. However, if I look at Cinnamon Red Colombos with similar tariffs in Colombo, this seems to be a budget Cinnamon Red Colombo with no frills whereas some other good Cinnamon Red Colombos may be explored. The mango tree restaurant in the vicinity is a great option for Indians/vegetarians.

One of the best stays at the heart of colombo. Their rooms are neat and the views are spectacular. The rooftop bar is just amazing. The only concern we had was the availability of rooms. Al though we booked for a sea viewing room (non smoking) on the day of our arrival, the receptionist said that it’s unavailable. Then why would we book it prior. Finally they gave us smoking room which was okay to us. But reception staff is not good enough.

Very clean and new property. Location perfect. Hospitality and the staff are excellent. Breakfast spread is awesome with continental and asian cuisine. The rooms were very clean comfortable beds no trouble with pesticides, excellent maintenance by house keeping. The terrace infinite pool and the roof top bar is great. Only draw back is that they dont have room service other than that the Cinnamon Red Colombo is excellent.

Cinnamon Red is always my first choice of Cinnamon Red Colombo whenever I visit Colombo. It's clean, has a very courteous staff, it's situated in a good locality, very beautiful rooms and is reasonably priced. So if you are traveling solo, with friends or with family, this Cinnamon Red Colombo is a very safe choice and, I forgot, there is a very nice rooftop bar and you get a breathtaking view of the ocean.

Good property breakfast esp indian items can be better and served hot pool view and bar on top very good having the reception on 7th floor for check in and first floor to arrive go up all the way in a lift with baggages weird. Pleasant staff but on day of checkout all manual syatem down. Fasmin from travel desk who also doubled up as a guide excellent and very good with communication multiple langauges.

Tmazingly neat property right in the centre of the city with astounding views of the sea and surroundings. I got a room on the 20th floor. The rooms and bathroom is not too large but perfect for a solo/ business travellers. The higene is good and amenities, enough. In room dining menu is limited but the food is amazing. The breakfast buffet spread is as big as you would find in a five star.

Food and other services are fine. We can walk nearby restaurant mango tree for north Indian food 400 meters and mainland china restaurant is in 300 meters. Good.
Room was good. Due to my new year visit the lift always full. Need to wait long time for lifts. The reception at 7 th floor. So always full from ground floor. Maybe for new year hope so. Other things are comfortable.

I stayed here for 12 nights, I must say the stay was very cozy and comfortable!! rooms are kept neat and clean, staff's are very humble hand supportive the roof top restaurant/ Bar is a must try. I am from India and vegetarian, I found little challenging when it comes to vegetarian food inside the Cinnamon Red Colombo menu. other then this the complete stay was very very good

Had great stay. Comfortable rooms. Well managed Cinnamon Red Colombo. Restaurant was good. Food was little expensive. Option for vegetarian food were limited though.

The property is very well maintained. However needs to work on service levels. Especially at the restaurant. Buffets are a mess that the young (trainees i guess) team can hardly manage. However, the buffet spread is fantastic. Housekeeping is comparatively much more service-oriented and professional. So overall good experience

It is one of the best place to be visited. Jungle safari was excellent. They made take away breakfast in the morning. This Cinnamon Red Colombo is value for money you spent. It's surrounding, swimming pool, restaurant are excellent. Hospitality was beyond expectations. Nice place, must visit while you are on Sri Lanka tour.

Stayed for one night. Very convenient location. No frills but very clean and comfortable.

Nice trio. Enjoyed pool area are it is on 27th floor.

Check in was quick, rooms are well maintained, neat and clean. Morning break fast is good with more varities. Good were tasty, no complaints. Room service response was good.

The rates are reasonable and the Cinnamon Red Colombo is a great place to stay. It is a good family and business Cinnamon Red Colombo. The staff is friendly and helpful and the property is well located.

Location is good center of the City food they don't have more for South indians service ok

Hotel on nice location, Cinnamon Red Colombo provide free drop and pick up at night nearby area.

This Cinnamon Red Colombo was the show stopper of our entire Sri Lanka trip. We stayed at Cinnamon Red for 2 nights. We loved the wife spread buffet breakfast. With variety catering for all the taste/countries. Mind blowing stay. Thanks.

I was impressed mainly with courteous staff at breakfast. They took special care for preparing veg dish as in Colombo, vegetarian options are less but still, I was been provided for 3 days.

The Cinnamon Red Colombo room view was very good, sea facing and good view. The pool in the twenty sixth floor was very good.

It's got all the amenities of a 5 star with an infinity pool and big sized rooms. Close to everything.

Overall good stay except check in as Cinnamon Red Colombo denied check in at 11. 00 am despite requesting for using only washroom as i had my meeting scheduled at 12. 00. They proposed early check in charges as 43$ which was completely unrealistic. Hotel has no indian food in menu hence-had to take uber eat every time
