allison.partnerNov 24, 2024 Enjoyed a one night stay here. Received a complimentary upgrade on arrival. Lovely spacious room with large bathroom including a roll top bath. L’occitane toiletries were available in the room. Bed was large and very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. Hotel was quiet and we were not disturbed at all during the night. Complimentary water and coffee in room. No parking available on site as they were fully booked so we parked in local public car park a short walk away. This option was a lot cheaper than the hotel parking charge. I would recommend this hotel.

Beautiful outlook over the park with a big bath, huge room and enormous bed. A great place for true rest.
Good hotel and nice garden and attentive staff. Only 3 stars as I needed 30 minutes late checkout so I could have teams call. They wanted to charge me £15 for this which I thought is poor and a bit grabby. I understand if it’s for hours and how it would mess up a cleaning rota etc , but for 30 minutes ? Really!
Won’t be using this chain again because of this policy.
The stay was good however at night there was noises like vibration which kept me up a bit. Room was a little hot, there was a fan but as the room is facing the sun it didn’t cool down until the sun went down.

The hotel itself is beautiful, and in a fantastic location. Check in and out was quick and uncomplicated, and parking can be reserved at an additional £15 per day. Our room was nicely appointed, but small and without AC. Although a Dyson fan was provided, it wasn’t very effective. As the rooms are all named, it’s quite tricky to find where your room is.
We booked a smaller room which had a bigger (king) bed as advertised, our bed was not a king. When we challenged this with reception, we were told a queen bed is bigger than a king. There was a private party on one night with a DJ that reception did make us aware of, and the music was off at 11pm as promised.
Absolutely beautiful- room was amazing, service was fantastic. Breakfast immense! Definitely returning!

david.partnerJul 30, 2024 This is a classic hotel on a quiet street, close to shops, restaurants, and the train station. The rooms are clean and well-equipped. We would stay here again.
This hotel desperately needs some investment. It’s worn out, shabby and an huge disappointment. Our room was ridiculously small and was not worth the money. The only positive thing I can say is breakfast was good, produce was decent quality.
Nice hotel - had some issues with the colour of the water when I ran a bath but other than that a good stay
Bed was very comfortable, lovely building. Breakfast was excellent

Delivers on many fronts, classic room small.
Friendly boutique hotel with lovely gardens, it has a nice relaxed feel to it. Classic room was small, felt squashed. Bathroom had power shower, which was great, L'Occitane toiletries excellent. Bed comfy but only standard size. If there for more than a couple of nights I would want bigger room. Brreakfast good sleection and cooked breakfast tasty and well presented,can take a little while as cooked completely fresh to order. Overall I think expensive
