Simply hotel good for just a night sleep

Room hadn’t been prepared when we arrived ie. the bed had not been changed since the last customer and there were still wet towels on the floor. The receptionist gave us 5 minutes to get our luggage saying it would be sorted in 5 minutes, which it was, but this meant that the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned nor the room vacuumed.

But we were sold a breakfast on arrival and no one turned up to prepare it until 8:10 by which time many guests were leaving annoyed that they had not had breakfast and were now late to start their journey. I saw a very young person arrive at 8:10. She was unable to give me a card refund and said she would post me a cheque. I don't expect to see the cheque. The coffee machine in the lobby was also broken. If these things had operated normally I would have been impressed with this little place who are dog friendly and good value for price.
joanne.familyAug 20, 2022 I booked this hotel knowing that the check in was until 8pm however I used the Expedia “Contact” button to request a late check in. The options were given in 2 hour slots - I selected 8- 10pm. I also messaged asking the property if the rooms had AC or fans. Neither request was acknowledged. As I had paid and been charged and the booking confirmed by Expedia, my family and I tuned up at the hotel after a 12hour drive from Spain to find it all locked up and no entry possible.
Absolutely furious with both The Brit Hotel and Expedia and will never use either of them again.
Bearing in mind we arrived on a bank holiday and in the middle of a pandemic we were grateful to find somewhere open. We managed the self checkin outside and were very relieved when the door opened. After seeing some attractive double rooms on the website I think we were given the worse one in an empty hotel. The breakfast room was still closed when we left around 9.30 am. The room was certainly in need of an update and the toilet needed a good amount of bleach. The carpet in the room and on the stairs needed a vacuum. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was spotlessly clean. The shower although ancient worked well. The hotel is in a very good position being both near the motorway and Saint Flour. Once all the rooms are upgraded it will be a very pleasant hotel.

Very pleasant overnight accommodation next to motorway but very quiet, clean and comfortable for the price ok. Only minus no where to eat in walking distance have to drive to St. Flour. Overall ideal stop over when travelling to South France or Spain

Comfortable and clean no frills hotel in a beautiful location at a very good price.
The hotel is fit for purpose for a one night stopover. It is in walking distance of the town which is handy. However, the rooms are dated and need of some tlc and an upgrade. The room has no air con which made it very hot and uncomfortable at night - particularly the children's room which is upstairs (great idea for a family room but very hot and no fans provided). The room is however clean but felt quite steep @ over 70 Euro for family 4 given the decor & condition but this was average for area.
Walked in, saw the room and state of the decor and carpets and left
St Flour is a great little town and the Deltour offers simple, good value accomodation.
Just a basic overnight stay the lady in the morning doing breakfast was very helpful and spoke good English. It was a small village with shops restaurants and patrol station round the corner. It also had a medieval village close by but never got a chance to visit. Room was clean, never needed any services location was good

The delatour St Flour is exactly half way from Calais to Valencia (10 hours each way). Clean and friendly, a little basic in the room, but the dog was welcome to sleep in the room with us. Beautiful village with numerous restauants easy walking distance (hill).

Le service de petits déjeuner n'était pas disponible à 6h30, comme indiqué, ni même à 07h.
Néanmoins, suite à courriel envoyé, le remboursement n'a pas posé de problème.

Nous sommes venues une 1ere fois l été dernier et tout était correct, cette fois-ci autre discours : mauvais accueil l hôtesse vous dit à peine bonjour et le comble fut le petit déjeuner ! Nous arrivons à 7h45 et il n y avait rien à manger ! J ai demandé à la personne de l hotel qui était dans la cuisine qui m a répondu que les croissants etaient dans le four. Elle a ramené 4 croissants alors que nous étions plusieurs couples dans la salle et a chaque fois elle ramenait 4 croissants par 4 croissants ! Nous avions terminé elle a fini enfin (mais trop tard) par apporter des pains au chocolat.... personne peu voir pas accueillante. Et le comble, personne ne vérifie si ceux qui déjeunent ont payé leur petit déjeuner ! Ailleurs on demande le numéro de chambre et il y a vérification, !
