Very nice facility and convenient location. Excellent breakfast, polite personnel, highly recommended

Friendly hosts, with lovely outdoor patio breakfast. Located in the old town, next to fortified walls - a bit higher than google maps places it. Good beds including the kid beds.

Charming building, dramatic setting.
Jimbo stay at Pension A Nafplion
Verified review powered by
Quaint little Pension , only draw back is finding the place was difficult , parking was nothing to do with the Pension which was not close , location is in a great spot overlooking the harbour , although we were blocked out by the buildings directly in front , all on all not bad value

Unique location with outstanding views of Nafplio, the harbor and the fortress. Rooms were unique, price was quite reasonable and breakfast was very good. Good thing to realize: - There are 4 Acronafplia Pension Hotels, this is the "A" hotel, however they all come up on Apple or Google maps as Acronafplia Pension Hotel so you need to know your address. - Parking for Acronafplia Pension hotel isn't obvious. It is about 1500 feet from the hotel at a 180 degree bend in the road. You need to walk down a path, through a stone gate to get to the hotel. It really isn't bad, but you need to know what to expect We'd stay here again

Lovely place but impossible to find. Staff was very kind and helpful. Beautiful views from balcony. Would recommend.
Great property!

This is a great property in Nafplio! The building is a little older, so the showers and bathroom facilities are small, but it has been updated/renovated significantly, so it's comfortable and the AC works great! The staff are helpful and friendly, and the view over Bourtzi and up to the Palamidi Fortress are decent. Parking is at an old hotel up the hill, with a 5-minute walk to get to the property.

The water view from our terrace was a great way to start off each day! The included breakfast changed daily but always included yogurt and Greek honey. Good security as there was always a family member watching over the building. Lots of steps up from the town center so be ready for that. All the staff was friendly. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

It is difficult to find this hotel if you are using a GPS on your phone. The phone number for the hotel is not the one listed. When we found the hotel the owner was welcoming and helped us with our bags. The room was clean and quiet. It was also in a perfect location and had a fantastic view. I would recommend it to anyone else traveling to Napflio.
Excellent Pension Acronafplia

We loved staying at this wonderful pension, everything was perfect - the room, the view and the location. Special mention should be made about the breakfast which was was plentiful and tasty, we enjoyed sampling some local and homemade products, which could be served in the room, on the balcony or terrace. We must also praise George and his lovely family for their warmth and hospitality, they work hard to ensure their guests are happy. Overall, this was this was a 5* experience and we would definitely return to Pension Acronafplia on any future visits to Nafplio and will be recommending it to everyone. Don't hesitate, go ahead and book, you will be in for a treat.
Amazing View from the Castle Area
Verified review powered by
The hotel is on top of a hill, near the castle, with an amazing view of the port and the harbor and the city below. It is a bit difficult to find the hotel at first because you must drive up to the top of the hill by the castle, then park, and a small sign directs you down through a historic brick tunnel and then up again toward the gate of the hotel. The hotel hugs the slope overlooking the water. It is a lovely new hotel which was designed to look like the older, local architectural vernacular. It is very well done and comfortable. The Owners are so nice and hospitable. I wish I could have stayed there longer...like a month or two. I loved this small hotel.
Not welcoming, don't stay

We arrived at 14:20 when in the confirmation it was written that the chack -in is after 13:00. Our room was not ready and seems that the preivies gust has just left (mess and used bad sheets) very difficult to view the room you are about to stay in.... The owner who talk to me and was not welcoming, and without regret and apologies, updated that he needs to install air-conditions in the room and it will take about two hours more to give us the room. It looks like that he replaced all the air-condition in the resort as we saw the contractor carryings few units. (He told Expedia representative that the unit was burn, which I don't think was true) After hours of driving and being very tired and after this unpleasant Wellcome, we didn't want to stay in this facilitie. The owner told us that he doesn't have to give us the room untill 18:00 (!!! We came for one night..) and advised that his brother has another hotel in the city, and we can go there. we did went to see the room he offerd which was on the third floor with no elevator. We didn't want the room. Note that there is no road to drive close to the hotel and you have to walk about 250 meters from the nearest parking place (if you have difficulty's in walking or have suitcases)
Nice room and great location.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The room is nicely decorated and comfortable. The hostess was very sweet and helped us with anything we needed. She also prepared wonderful croissant sandwiches, breads, jams, honey, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, and tea for a delightful breakfast each morning on the patio. The hotel is located at the top of the hill right at the base of Acronafplia Castle wall. The walk up the stairs from the boardwalk and town might be a little much for some, but the view and access to the amazing castles and beach is well worth it. Acronafplia Pension A is the highest building in the attached picture.
Nice pansion in the hill.

Nice room, cozy, hospitable personnel, good breakfast
Great Views, Generous Proprietor

The hotel had wonderful views and good breakfasts, served on the balcony. However, my best memory is of the extraordinary service given by the owner. When we arrived my eye was bothering me and I asked the proprietor where I could find a doctor. He drove me to his ophthalmologist and got him to see me outside office hours. Because of his kindness I was able to begin treatment immediately. He also let me use his cell phone to call my insurance company, since it was very difficult to make a collect call otherwise.
Beautiful pension

The pension's owners are very friendly and helpful with suggestions. The pension is located within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. The old town is beautiful, with a pretty harbor and pedestrian only streets to stroll in the evening. Nice breakfast on the veranda
Nice hotel on top of a hill

Only stayed one night. Had to leave prior to breakfast because we had to be in Olympia early in the morning. Wished that breakfast was served earlier than 0830. It had a cozy room
Romantic, beautiful hotel!

Staying at the Acronafplia Pension A was one of the highlights of our trip to Greece. George (one of the owners) was a wonderful host - so customer-service oriented and made our stay a special treat! The breakfasts were generous and tasty! George was helpful with directions and pointed out different areas of interest to us.
Great views over Napfolio

Had a great stay in Napfolio. We stayed in the rooms that overlooked the city. Worth the haul up the hill. Had a great balcony with fantastic views overlooking the harbor and nearby castles and forts. Beds could have been softer, but that's par for the course in Greece. Other amenities were first rate. Breakfast on the balcony in the morning is also a plus.
