Tanjung Rhu Resort

Tanjung Rhu is located in the northern tip of Langkawi island. It has its own private beach which is clean and pristine with wonderful views of hills on both sides. Having a private beach means exclusive access to its customers without the external crowds loitering it. This helps the resort keeping it clean and calm. The beach itself is calm and enjoyable for families with kids. Although, the ongoing renovation did make many of the activities inaccessible which was a dampener in the overall experience. With the children's play room closed, our daughter had nothing to do except for playing in the beach and feeding the fish. Other paid activities are way too expensive for the value they provide and can easily be availed in a few minutes drive outside the resort. The resort had some good dining places, although very limited choices for vegetarians like my wife, which also made us go out of the resort on order for more variety of food. Overall the limited facilities available makes it only an average experience at a place that could get a much better rating.

Great place for a relaxed chilled long weekend break. Benefit of private beach and staff are always friendly and welcoming. Rooms are clean and tidy. You could say not having internet connectivity in each room is an 'issue' but really you are there to relax and enjoy the wonderful scenery. Half the property is still under renovation but this did not have a negative impact on our stay. Location is great to 'get away from it all' but also close enough (20-30 taxi ride) to have easy access to other areas of interest on the island. Competitively priced stay for quality of Tanjung Rhu Resort and above all else its location. Go with the mind-set to chill out relax and you will have no real issues.

The Tanjung Rhu Resort have a private beach which is best otherwise it is very far from the town and we have to travel different way in different times to reach from the town. The breakfast is average there is plenty of options but uneatable. We loved to stay in the room but the room should be a beach view which anyone can enjoy. The check-in is fast and behavior of the employees are very good. The Tanjung Rhu Resort swimming pool didn't attracted us that much because of the appearances. And elderly people may enjoy this quiet beach and the Tanjung Rhu Resort.

We went here for our 10th anniversary and it was awesome beach resort. All the staff are so friendly with nice ambiance. Breakfast in Sands restaurant was so lavish with continental food. We both being vegetarian we had very less choice, as we asked the chef for vegetarian, they made couple of dishes for us. Try going for Kayak and Mangrove tour. Rhu wellness center need upfront reservation as they have limited staff. Try to have all the spa treatments on last day of your stay. We both like to visit this place again.

Fantastic Tanjung Rhu Resort and great location. Service is good and rooms are huge. We loved every bit of it. Right from the check-in to checkout, entire process was lightening fast and smooth. All staff is well groomed, well behaved, always sported a smile and was happy to help always. The resort has awesome views of the 2.5 KM long beach where you can spend a private moment. Family pool overlooking the beach is also a wonderful area to relax. Overall a fantastic stay and highly recommended.

The resort is situated at the prettiest beach. Langkawi. Having a private beach with white sand and blue waters really gives this Tanjung Rhu Resort it's selling point. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the adult only pool being open till 10pm is a real plus point. Go here for a nice quiet time away from the hustle and bustle. If you want happening nightlife or the local chaos and vibe, this Tanjung Rhu Resort is a 30min taxi ride from the main area.

Located probably on the most private and stunning beach on Langkawi. Excellent service, pool, restaurants, ambiance, hospitality. The best luxury 5* stays in Langkawi I have had. The only beach in Langkawi where once can see a sand bar extending into the waters. White sand beach. Damai Suite was exquisite. Their special beach bbq with a private butler is perfect for a private romantic dinner.

Excellent view, beautiful rooms on block 5, specially room number 504... Service is brilliant... Food is not expensive and drinks are also reasonable. The spread on food can be significantly improved for Indian travelers...

Everything was perfect except WiFi in the room. There are lot of things like wildlife, Beach and adventurous activities. Very peaceful Resort. Staff is very much welcoming and humble. You will feel relaxed and refreshed.

The location of the resort is excellent. The beach is main attraction and you can spend whole day near the sea. The rooms are nicely done. It is a perfect place be it for couple, family or friends. The pollution free environment gives you a perfect break from the hussle and bussle.

The location and the Tanjung Rhu Resort were superb. The service is really good and all staff members were helpful, super polite and flexible. WiFi connectivity is an issue, it is not provided in the rooms. This is major NO-NO But they seems improving on this. Highly recommended Tanjung Rhu Resort for spending a relaxed vacation.

The private beach of this resort has an exotic view, rooms are spacious and well decorated with all the facilities, the sand pool was great, breakfast served in the morning was very good, the staff were amicable. Everything was great except the lack of WiFi in our rooms. Hope this gets fixed soon. Hope I visit the resort again.

Beautiful private huge beach, beautiful property, but only problem is since we were pure vegetarian didn't had much food option. Property was so big you cannot completely see the property for two days.

Hotel is at one extremely secluded location. Out of city, beach is good and clean no much activities. More like south Goa. Property under construction so lose it's charm. Need to do some activities to keep people involved.

We had a very pleasant stay at the resort. Due to the haze however we were unable to swim in the sea which was disappointing as the waters looked lovely and very calm. Will have to go back and visit again. The location is lovely and secluded and very close to the GeoPark.

Awesome place with nice and friendly Tanjung Rhu Resort staff, with good pools and great breathtaking beaches, secluded and private far away from city noises, great place for couples who want privacy, food is a problem for veggies, esp no nearby availability

The Tanjung Rhu Resort was located in a very quiet and scenic part of Langkawi. The haze was a dampener and we were unable to do many things such as a kayaking and swimming in the sea as a result. We still had a relaxed time at the Tanjung Rhu Resort. Quite a few activities for the kids.

The Tanjung Rhu Resort is exceptional in terms of service, staff, rooms, beach and everything you can imagine. Only downside is very few food options for vegetarians. Location is not an issue as car rental is fairly common way of transport for most tourists.
