Wonderful property, right on the beach. Pristine waters at the beach. Breakfast was a good spread. Lovely bar set up. We liked the cultural program and the beach party they did in the evng during our stay. The entire property is done artistically.

Nice beachfront property with deluxe rooms big size and 2 clean, big swimming pool. Food for vegetarian was average. Room service was slow. If you are beach lover and want relaxation then go for this property.

A lovely, huge property directly infront of bentota beach where you can chill and enjoy with friends and family. Outstanding when it comes to room service and cleanliness. It was raining most of the day during our stay but the staff made sure the property was clean at all times. Definitely a place worth going back.

I was floored with the welcome my group got when we first entered the reception at thaala. Very kind and hospitable staff with whom we chatted to while experiencing the amazing ventilation they have in that area. Shortly after, we were escorted to our room. The room fell short of my expectations especially after seeing the exterior. It wasn’t the worst but it just didn’t give me the ‘wow’ ‘that’s amazing’ experience. I noticed after observing very closely that the walls, fittings, etc were a bit worn down. I also noticed that i didn’t have any bath robe or slippers, and some of the bathroom amenities like shampoo/ conditioner was not there. I had to ask for it all. The overall service was just very slow. I’m not sure if it was a communication thing but i felt like i had to ask atleast 4-5 times to get anything done. There was an event happening on one of the evenings and i patty evening left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth because everything that the staff could do wrong they did. Besides that it was a relatively pleasant stay

A fabulous choice. Only 75 room resort - so peace, privacy and space is maintained at all times. Staff are very courteous and the property is on the beach. If you are looking for rest and relaxation, then this is the place to be.

The property is well situated with direct access to the beach. Rooms are spacious and clean. Budget property among-st cinnamon and taj surrounding it. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only issue is if you are looking for indian food, the chef, claimed to be hired from taj does not understand indian food at all and mentioned he cannot prepare exactly the same way. During our stay at thaala, we had visited taj bentota ( 750m away) for lunch for indian food and chef there understood the requirements perfectly. Something the restaurant can improve upon with increasing indian visitors there.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at thaala bentota, and it was an experience worth sharing. Located right on the beachfront, this property offers an idyllic setting for a relaxing getaway. Here are some highlights from my stay: location and ambience: thaala bentota's beach-facing location is undoubtedly one of its biggest draws. The sound of the waves and the sight of the ocean from the property create a tranquil and rejuvenating atmosphere. The lush greenery and well-maintained gardens further enhance the scenic beauty of the place, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers. Food: the culinary experience at thaala bentota was exceptional. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options to cater to different tastes. Whether it was the sumptuous breakfast spread, the fresh seafood, or the delightful desserts, every meal was a treat. The chefs clearly put a lot of thought and effort into crafting dishes that are both flavorful and beautifully presented. Hospitality: the hospitality at thaala bentota was top-notch. A big let down- stay at thaala bentota

For a property, which is being presented as a luxury resort on your platform, the stay experience was nowhere close to even a 3-star hotel. The rooms were moist n smelly, there was muddy water coming from the bathroom faucets and we even spotted cockroaches in the sitting area. When we informed this matter to the front desk, they just took it very casually as a regular input and told us someone would attend to it, which kind of implies that this is a routine occurrence for them. Utterly disappointing

Amazing view right in the beach with large open spaces. Perfect for family and kids. One of the best beach resort we have been to.
