Hotel is good, staff are courteous. Beach is just 200mts away! Only issue was with old fixtures like ac and phone. AC remote wasn't working and phone was not working.

Good location in Colombo, hotel room is very large and clean. Restaurant did not have much option and were out of most dishes. Outside the hotel is good choice of restaurants within walking distance. Very good value for money and I would stay here again.

Being out of the hotel for most of the day, this is a good place have some peace and quiet after a Long day. Rooms are good size, amenities are sufficient, and replenished without hesitation, food quantity and quality is also quite decent.
Large room and ample space to swing as many cats as you'd like. Laundry bags and lists were missing from the room, but the laundry service was quite good.

Though the room was big in size and spacious, the movement I entered the room Der is some kind of foul smell same with bathroom and after telling the staff they have cleaned the room with fragrance which is acceptable. After some time thought of switching on the tv but could not. Then asked the staff to fix it but response at all. Then after some I checked out on same day. Over all bad experience.

Will not stay at palms again

The maintenance was very poor, room was dirty, spray was damaged, shower drain was chocked, electrical sockets malfunctioning. Fresh towels were dirty and not replaced when told as there was no staff. Bags were not picked up as bell boy was absent. Fridge was not working as it plug points was damaged. Also no liquor as hotel liquor licence is suspended.

The hotel needs to work on getting the flies and spiders cleared from the room. Because of its proximity to plants, the rooms are prone to get these. If they work on modernizing the facilities, this could be a great hotel to stay in. They need better tie ups with vendors such as taxis, guides, some more work on amenities, tourist information etc also is needed.

Rooms are spacious and smelly with noisy beds. Cleanliness is a total loss overall. Not recommended. Totally not worth it.

5 Nights in Mt. Lavinia

A good place to relax and located very close to the beach a 6 minute walk, in a quite neighborhood. Good friendly staff, as is always the case. The Chef was quick to accommodate my request for vegetarian food, and really prepared a good smorgasbord of Sri Lankan delicacies. Never used many of their other facilities, but overall definitely a place to kick back and relax.
Room was great but the mattress was perhaps a bit too creaky, made getting on and off an embarrassing moment. But overall, I would say that given that this is a perhaps older construction. The number of easily accessible plug points was really limited. Else, the rooms are really really big and spacious.

Terrible Stay

Very bad service, the food options were nothing and top of it they are overcharging on the food. There was no buffet breakfast but they charged for the buffet for 4 slices of bread. Overall my experience was bad. Will never recommend this property to anyone.
