I just stayed here for one night because all I needed was a bed. Couple of good points - very conveniently located for Melbourne’s entertainment precinct. Off street parking free and I found one about 40meters away. Owner was very helpful with this.
Rooms are bed only. Well, and a much needed fan. My fan was old and cluttered away whilst I tried getting to sleep but by morning was quiet as its’ cover had fallen off. And it was literally the only appliance in the room.
Shared shower and toilets were clean but basic.
So I got what I expected for the price. I would contemplate the same location again. However the metal frames beds are rather cheap and nasty. Upgrading them as time progresses should be a priority.
And weirdly - when you book in you get a code to the shared front enterance. If you want a key to your room it’s a $50 deposit I think. I’ve not really encountered this before. And every door seems to have a padlock on it which I have no idea what it was for. Didn’t matter to me as I took my valuables out with me and left my door unlocked, but it was somewhat strange.
Clean place, friendly staff but other guests were quite noisy till about 3am in the morning especially in the courtyard area

I would not stay at this hotel again. It was loud (internally and externally), bad bed and bedding, terrible styling (free stuff in gumtree would make better vibes than their furniture). Also, you can lock the room from inside but they provide no keys, meaning if you go to the toilet you may get robbed. Really worth putting $10-20 more and getting a proper place to stay.
Exactly as advertised. Budget option in a great location, close to public transport, local cafes etc. and the city.
Clean, good communication and friendly staff there to help.
Great location for me as I had travelled from Portland to visit the Royal Melbourne hospital
Only stay if you have no other option.

Bathroom down the hall was spotless and functional.

It's not fancy but I didn't expect it to be - a private room for not much more than a bunk at a Backpackers, and cleaner.

Stayed overnight due to having a concert at Rod Laver Arena and was convenient for what I needed. The traffic/trains can be a bit loud but it didn’t effect me as I wasn’t there for overly long. Overall, great place for the price!

You get what it says on the tin - basic, straightforward, close to city / transport. Premises cleaner than I was expecting. I needed a place to stay after a concert and had work the next day, so this was an easier option than going home and returning to city. Hoddle St noise starts up, but no surprises. I'm satisfied. (Perhaps next time I'll take up the opportunity of the meals available on site.) Thanks Fran,k-the-manager, for your hospitality
It was a room in a big share house style in the middle of Richmond next to the train station of Richmond West. Quite a few people there but all friendly. Nice neat kitchen and good size tv in the lobby.
