The staff here is wonderful. Very friendly. Very helpful. The facility is wonderful. I keep coming back. I highly recommend the Monte Carlo!
The staff (security) is very friendly and attentive. The pool is nice and big. The condition on the pool chairs was less than desirable.
Inside the condo the furniture was nice, but the bed lines were poor quality and the shower was dated.
Lovely home away from home. Nice pool and plenty of space.
lilian.familyAug 05, 2023 ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS PROPERTY! This was a beautiful, well kept condominium with security at the gate to welcome you in. Nelson the security at the gate was very helpful with luggage and giving great recommendations for first timers in Costa Rica! He showed us around and helped with questions about the property. The pool and common areas are clean, well kept and regularly maintained. The rooms inside were spacious, clean, and had chairs inside if going to the beach!
Everything was super nice. Best housekeeping we've had maybe ever. Felt very safe. Pool was sparkling and well maintained. All employees were friendly. Even had our dishwasher go out and they replaced it within a day!!
Would definitely go back.

Quiet and comfortable retreat
Monte Carlo is a perfect retreat located right off the downtown area just walking distance from the beach and all the shopping and dining. It is a quiet family friendly place with only 14 units, and the 24 hour attendants provide the top service and security you could ask for!
gerald.familyFeb 11, 2022 There is so much to say about this property, Costa Rica in general, the people, the culture and the experience of visiting the country if you have never been there. This property is very nice and is definitely “luxury”, at least compared to what is around it. It would not be considered “luxury” if you are expecting something you would find in a luxury resort in the US or Europe but for Jaco Beach this is really nice. The town of Jaco Beach is a beach town that has a number of surfer/beach restaurants, bars, and little shops that are within walking distance but be very careful when walking because the sidewalks are in poor condition and its easy to trip on a broken or uneven surface. The people are wonderful, helpful and kind, not only in the condo office and grounds but everywhere. The economy of this small beach town is very dependent upon tourists and most of the people in the service industry treat you like they want you to come back. Cristian and all the staff at Monte Carlo are outstanding and deserving of the highest rating that can be assigned. We ate at a different restaurant (there are many to choose from) every night and we had wonderful meals everywhere. The restaurant/bars on the beach will provide a beautiful sunset dinner if you get there in time. Be prepared for some local “chill” culture when it comes to service attentiveness in most establishments. If you are used to very quick service just know their culture is to work and play at a slower pace.

All the staff were very helpful and organized tours that picked us up on time. I would recommend these accommodations for anyone staying at Jaco beach.
verified t.friendsMay 03, 2021 the property was very nice. we actually had a patio on floor level that had the pool right in front, very nice. would stay here again security was nice and on 24 hours. really quiet place. my only gripe was the shower. both shower heads didn't put out much water and after day # 3 it got old. overall this was a very nice place to stay

clean but very uncomfortable furniture
We started our trip in La Fortuna. We spend 10 days hiking in the rain forest and all around Arenal. Its was a wonderful time but tiresome. I booked 3 days at the beach to relax before we came home. Didn't want to feel like we needed a vacation from our vacation. We were looking forward to a trip to the beach were we could take it easy for a few days before going home.
When arrived we were greeted by very friendly staff. The property itself was very pretty and walking distance to everything.
The condo had very uncomfortable furniture. We wanted a relaxing stay with early dinners and back to the room to read, watch movies or play cards. The couch was nice to look at but was extremely uncomfortable to sit on. The beds were ok at best. The linens were a little scratchy and pillows were hard.
Overall the stay was fine but not at all what we wanted.

Steps away from Main Street and beach, although the town of Jaco itself has really gone downhill. We did not venture out after dark. But we had a nice place to hang out by the pool.

We had one of the most best experiences at this hotel. I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about going to Costa Rica. And the staff is so amazingly friendly!
