Have been here a few times and will keep coming back. It is so easy and the rooms are fab. You are 4/5 minutes form the centre of the city and all its wonderful shops, bars and restaurants.
Lovely historical property but a bit overpriced. Televisions from neighboring rooms can be heard. Only one key per room, which can be limiting at times considering the front desk has limited hours.
Really unique stay in wonderful rooms with high ceilings and beautiful views of the canals.

Pillows were a little hard and too big for us but that's more our personal preference,. The rooms are beautifully decorated and clean, would definitely recommend.
It was a lovely stay. The room was very nice and the bed was amazingly comfortable. I would highly recommend it.

Beautiful property, conveniently located, with helpful staff. The building is lovely and room/bathroom were gorgeous.
We had a lovely experience stay but there are a few things that could be worked on. Overall it was very nice.
The breakfast was delicious and very fresh. it was European style but still very nice. The beds were very comfortable and it was within walking distance of some lovely bars and restaurants.
The reception opening hours says 8.00am - 7.00pm but on both days there was no one there at times during the allotted reception time. Yesterday the reception was all locked by 6.30pm. This was one small item but it didn't take away from our overall stay.

Everything about this hotel is exceptional. The room is very large and has a sofa also in it; the mattress is fantastic, the location is in the middle of the center of Leiden and the breakfast was very nice. I would definitely come back to this hotel on my next trip.
Our experience here was amazing! We were upgraded to the Presidential Suite at no extra charge (and didnʻt even ask for the upgrade!) and the suite was truly luxurious! It is located near the university, right in the middle of the area we wanted to explore, so it was perfect.
david.partnerMay 12, 2024 The room was beautiful as was the bathroom. The shower and bath were unsafe for older people- no grab rails on a slippery floor. Also no pegs in bathroom to hang things on.
The sound deadening was very poor and disturbing from the room above. Breakfast inflexible in timing. Expensive for what it is.
kathryn.partnerMay 08, 2024 Our room was beautiful with three huge windows overlooking the canal. Leiden was a lovely university town with lots of good restaurant options. My husband is a cyclist, and was pleased with the ease of renting an electric bike from Easyfiets and it was easy to navigate the region with the Dutch bike routing system. Perfect temperature for biking and no rain the first week of May! Very kind and helpful staff—especially Anna who cleaned our room!

Steep spiral stairs. Sparse amenities.
Steep spiral wooden stairs, no lift. Breakfast could be a little less food, I wasted much of it. Especially don't book the room on the top floor with the bathtub, you won't enjoy it. Only shampoo soap and body lotion in the bathroom - I would like to see better bathroom amenities to match the excellence of this hotel. The location is about a 15-20 minute walk to the station, mostly flat.
Would recommend! We had a great stay.
The hotel was faultless in all regards. Of particular mention were the room service breakfast, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. Our 4 nights were memorable.
