The stay here is qiuet and relaxing. The hotel is a little out of town but perfect if you are wanting to golf and relax afterwards. Staff are friendly and the food buffetts were varied and very good.
Definitely give it a try!
Excellent tranquil setting near the mountains of Monchique, and not far from the towns of the south.
Good:
* Spacious rooms with balcony (or see below for not so good...)
* Nice grounds around
Bad:
*Layout design flaws meaning you keep on walking around the(two) beds to get from the bathroom to the wardrobe and the door.
* In spite of massive rooms, no sofa, just a few small chairs.
* Massive looking bed which is effectively two separate mattresses.
* Electrical plug availability challenging.
* Dark and cold rooms due to the sun sheletring design(it was decent sunny May weather outside)
* Far from anything and on the rubbish pebbled road, so driving to and from is a bit frustrating.
Large room with view across the valley. Great staff and good buffet for both breakfast and dinner. The location in the hills is quiet and tranquil
we loved the quietness and the beautiful scenery and also being so close to a beach 20 min drive the cost of golf and room was lower than we paid for just a room in the algarves

shariq.familyAug 29, 2023 I booked and paid extra for the golf view, however I was given a pool view. I was informed by the front desk that the golf view is not available. I need some kind of credit or compensation please.
Easy and fast checking in, staff friendly and helpful. Room was a good size, well equipped and very comfortable. It overlooked the pool and golf course beyond. You can park next to each room almost motel style so easy to carry cases. The night we stayed there was live music from a local guitarist and singer at the bar area, very enjoyable. Kettle in the room, but only tea bags no coffee, good size tv and the most comfortable bed. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. We did not eat at the restaurant in the evening but it and the menu looked good. It is a guilt area but only a few minutes drive into Portimão. Will stay again for longer

cons: limited dining options buffet breakfast and dinner were fine but nothing great (specially dinner) food quality slightly better than cafeteria.
also, golf staff was not very accommodating.
Friendly professional staff.
Good check in. Nice size room. Rather noisy overnight as the main door faces the road. Although the place is off the beaten track the road use was very loud.
At booking we were offered a free bottle of wine with our stay. The hotel had no knowledge of this and the manager was called! I had to send her a copy of my booking. This was embarrassing and also meant our meal was on hold why this was sorted out.
All the staff were friendly and helpful and could not fault.
The hotel, location and amenities were all fine, but let down by the holiday camp style buffet meals, not what I would expect from a 5* hotel. Limited choice, barely warm and not not enough kitchen staff to cope with the number of diners

Peaceful and quite place to rest!
Very welcoming and friendly staff.
We have stayed here a number of times, and this has become one of our favorite properties in the Algarve.
Inside a huge property (3 kms of road separate you from the main entry to the hotel reception) but still a few kms from the beaches and all the buzz.
The rooms are very spacious and with an incredible view to the golf course.
Great food, brilliant staff, this is much more that what we expected from a 4* property.
This is a hidden gem in Algarve.
Only a few kms from the busy center of Portimão, you can relax with a beatiful view of the golf course.
From the main entrance of the estate to the hotel reception we have 3 kms of road - taking us furthuer way from the main roids and its noise.
The rooms are nice and very spacious. The staff is atentive and kind, providing a 5* service in a property that is rated 4*.
Around the golf course there are a few lakes habited by dozens of storks that take their position on top of the roadside lamps by dawn - a show worth watching!
We have been here twice this year and will surely return.
Relaxing and quiet and short drive into Portimão, also free breakfast was enjoyable and could look out into the golf course every morning
verified t.friendsSep 29, 2019 The golf is right on your doorstep with two courses which is great. Unfortunately there isn't very much at the hotel in terms of restaurant and bar. The restaurant is a buffet and the bar is very small.
