Awesome stay at a very decent price

Visited with family. The property was well decorated and the view is great (around the reception and from room. Requested for an upgrade and got one, and i must say that the rooms were good enough with all amenities. Breakfast spread was decent too. The pool at the 6th floor is quite big and there was a bar at the side of the pool. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Must stay when at kandy.

Stayed here for 2 nights with wife and 3 year old kid. Absolute delight of a place. Good value for money. Location is very scenic, staff very courteous and service very prompt. Had great time at pool and bar, which are situated on the hotel terrace. Will definitely visit again the next time i visit kandy.

Beautiful property with excellent service. Swimming pool was great at the top of kandy city. Breakfast and dinner spread was delicious with variety of veg & non. Veg options. Front desk and other staff members were always happy to help. God bless them. Thank you

I went to the hotel just to be told that my room reservation was not sent by make my trip to the hotel. I had to find another hotel in the last movement and check in there. I tried to check with customer support as well as escalated to their vp customer support. No response. Very bad experience folks try avoid make my trip

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the grand kandyan hotel in kandy, and while my overall experience was pleasant and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and tastefully done. The balcony in the rooms with the mountain view makes it beautiful and serene. While the hotel's dining options were convenient, the cuisine fell short of expectations. Dishes lacked flavor and variety, particularly in the local cuisine section.

The hotel is excellent. The hospitality is great. The rooms are very comfortable. The lobby is so beautiful that you want to sit there for hours. And the view from the terrace where they have a swimming pool is mesmerizing. The food for indians is good. I would surely recommend it to all. It's a place in kandy that you would love to visit again.

This hotel is a beautiful property situated with fantastic view. The facilities are excellent and staff are very helpful. There breakfast and dinner spreads were also very good with live music during dinner. I would recommend this hotel - perhaps one of the best in kandy. Moreover it is located very near to tooth relic temple and kandy lake.

The rooms were spacious, location was in the center of the city with easy accessibility to main areas of attraction and excellent view from the room. Amenities were good with a nice pool and terrace seating area. The only issue was with the service, the staff was not respondent. Despite multiple reminders, the requests were not met.

The service is exceptional, with staff that are extremely polite and helpful, ensuring guests feel pampered from the moment they arrive. Pros: - stunning views of kandy and the mountains - spacious, functional rooms with valley-view balconies - excellent, attentive service - large breakfast buffet with sri lankan and western options - generous dinner buffet with a wide variety of dishes $15+taxes) - pub near the pool serves lion stout and delicious snacks cons: - dated decor reminiscent of the 1970s - limited power outlets in inconvenient locations - hillside location makes access to kandy challenging - limited sri lankan cuisine options in the dinner buffet the rooms are large and functional, with balconies that provide a perfect spot for morning tea. However, the hotel's decor, including carpets and furniture, feels outdated and could use modernization. The lack of conveniently placed power outlets in the rooms is a notable inconvenience. While the hotel's hillside location offers great views, it makes accessing kandy somewhat difficult. A steep half-mile walk or a tuk-tuk ride is required to reach the city. The breakfast buffet offers a satisfactory selection of sri lankan and western options, including fresh fruits. The check-in was fast but correct information did not go to the hotel on our meal plan and there was some confusion which was sorted quickly by mm t and the hotel accepted the change. The room was lovely. The view from the room was beautiful. Their buffet food spread was nice, but almost the same food on all days except for minor changes. We stayed for 3 days and we got bored of the food. The seafood - fish and squid all the time were overcooked except prawns. Surprisingly, their menu has just 1 chicken dish and they do not have other options in chicken. They gave 1 fingerbowl every-time when we were 3 of us and without asking after you have spent a certain duration in the restaurant (ha ha ha) i would have loved to give them a 5 star except for 2 things - the ac vent gave out a weird sound every-time it swung disturbing sleep and they forgot i had asked for a celebration for my wife's birthday. Definitely one of the best places to stay in kandy hands down.

Cleanliness not there, big cockroach was found and a/c was not working despite repair by staff twice and whne it started working, water was leaking whole night. Very uncomfortable stay and pathetic experience

The is an awesome place. View is beautiful, staff were very cordial, a big swimming pool and no complaints about food. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed every moment.
