The hotel has a very poor exhaust system and even reception provided very poor support. Batheoom are not up to mark. Its not value for money.

Very central and extremely close to tube / bus, you probably can’t find hotels located so close to central london, and that too a heritage hotel

No water complimentary, breakfast £ 15 per person which is more than normal breakfast places in the area. No hospitality as such ( not specific to hotel, its more like culture), construction work going on as of now around the hotel. Despite these problems, you can opt for the hotel only and only because of the proximity to two tube stations and close attractions like oxford circus, soho etc. so if you choose to roam in the city of london, you can choose it. Otherwise nothing great about the hotel

It is an old architectural hotel which in itself has an history involved, whose prints can be found in the lobby of the hotel which has pictures

Would echo the reviews mentioned here. The service is excellent and location is convenient from accessibility point and proximity to hyde park. As mentioned, the rooms are tiny and there is no restaurant service (other than breakfast which they serve)

I stayed in a single bed delux room and felt it's pricey for the amount of space i had. My room was on 8th floor whereas the lift access was only till 7th, so i had to climb one floor walking to reach the room. Staffs were friendly, greeting you all the time and courteous.

Our stay was pleasant at the Grand Royale London, hotel has a fantastic vibe ( nice decor reminds you of the real British architecture), breakfast is good, staff are polite, rooms are London size, so no complaints, overall nice.

The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful and the room was comfortable. Food and shops were very close by. From the inner City of London, it was only a metro away. I would absolutely stay here again.

It's a scam front for other hotels

A bad start to our European vacation. They made us wait for somber time pretending to be on phone to sort out some mysterious problem. Then told us their rooms are under servicing so they'll have to accommodate us in another property of theirs. They shifted us to their cheaper hotel and included breakfast to make up for their problem when actually the difference in tariffs was high enough to pay for breakfast. We learnt from other sources that this is their standard trick and every day some 6-7 customers are shifted this way. Our stay at the other hotel was quite good but that doesn't excuse their scam.

Had a great stay at this hotel. The staff where very corporative and helpful. Great location and underground close by. Ample restaurants around. Area is safe and lively. Perfect location to stay at.
