Superb hotel in this area

Very nice hotel and rooms are very clean and fresh. Staff is very cooperative. Bedsheets are fresh and this hotel is easily reachable.

Terrible Stay

I will try and give a balanced review of the hotel matilda, hanoi. The single biggest positive of the hotel is the location, which is right at the center of the city, surrounded by eateries, pubs and other kind of indulgence. Coming to the cons, it is hard to constrain it within a finite number but let me highlight the major ones. 1) the room size and design was pathetic both in terms of space and aesthetics e. G. Wash basin inside the room 2) the staff behaviour except one (mrs hang) was horrible. My expensive footwear from crocs was missing from the room, which was confirmed to be thrown away by the housekeeping staff 3) food and flexibility - brace yourselves if you come in with the expectation that food should be an integral part of a good vacation.

Book this only for location as it is in centre of old district and expect nothing!
no welcome drink
boiled sweet potato for vegetarians for breakfast
be cautious of mini bar or get it cleared beforehand (applied every where in vietnam)

Pros: he services were good, staff was really helpful. They were waiting for us even till late night and guided us regarding booking of our ninh bin h trip. Cons: the room size was a little small than expected. Breakfast: if you are a pure veggie (even no eggs, you have bread , fruits and juice as option.
I have booked vip room. It's very big. Room is very clean and they clean it everyday. Breakfast is good they arrange local day tour for you if interested with minimum and discounted fair. Worth staying here as all attractions are neaby

Cosy and Comfortable Stay

This property is located at the heart of Hanoi in Ma May street. Everything is near whether you want to eat, drink, party, try egg coffee etc etc. The property is very near and clean and gives a french colonial look as if you are staying in a french palace. We booked a VIP room and it was spacious. Staff is very warm, they keep checking with you, and take care of each and every need of yours. Breakfast was yum😋and the best thing to start your day with
i had a great time there.
The stay was comfortable as we have booked the biggest room they have to offer. Vip room with balcony. The location of the hotel is perfect if you want to explore things by walking as it is in the heart of the old quarter. The staff was helpful and gave good suggestions to explore the places nearby. As it is located on the main street so might be noisy sometimes but that also has its own fun.

Overall happy with the stay, as it's located right in the middle of old quarter and everything is walkable from there. Rooms were neat and clean. Very very few options for vegetarians for breakfast.

Worst hotel

I haven’t seen such a disaster in my life. Hospitality was at worst. They always try to extort money from guests. Not recommended at all.
